That's okay! That's not a problem! You will need two things:
An account with BYOND (the service), and BYOND (the program) installed on your computer. Free! No charge!
TAKE NOTE: You must use this older version of BYOND (516.1663) because newer ones give us issues.
Unfortunately this gets more complicated for Linux Users!
We have a tutorial which may or may not work for you. If you have trouble, come ask us about it.

If you are familiar with Space Station 13, it is a new and Goonstation-derived server that has finally come out of a long development cycle, with multi-level and terrestrial stations, combat-oriented features, and a throwback sensibility to jokes and pranks and such.
If you are not familiar with Space Station 13, it is a tile-based social roleplay game where for the most part, players are expected to do their jobs in order to keep the space station running smoothly.
Some players are chosen at random to be antagonists, whose role is to steal from or corrupt or destroy the station and murder some or all of the crew. They may be traitors or aliens like a The Thing from The Thing or even a dracula.
While the graphics are simple, they represent aspects of several complicated underlying simulations, from atmosphere and temperature to chemistry and electricity. Use them to your advantage, or perish!
And, while you're here working hard, you can probably come up with a good bit or two to share with the clown.
Unsurprisingly, we have a Discord. Membership in the Discord is not required to play the game.
There is a GitHub and we do accept PRs and bug reports through it.
A forum also exists but we will be replacing it with better software soon.
We also have a full website. You will learn absolutely nothing about our game at all from it.
If you like us or Space Station 13, consider buying yourself a BYOND Membership to support the platform. Thanks, LummoxJR!
Add us to your BYOND Bookmarks for easier connection! We're also listed among other Space Station 13 game servers in the BYOND App.
There's ~100MB of stuff that needs to be preloaded on first connect.
If you have a problem connecting for the first time, reconnect.
If you continue to have problems, ask for help in Discord or Forums.
