And...always look on the bright side of life... Always look on the light side of life...
If life seems jolly rotten There's something you've forgotten And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing. When you're feeling in the dumps Don't be silly chumps Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing.
And...always look on the bright side of life... Always look on the light side of life...
For life is quite absurd And death's the final word You must always face the curtain with a bow. Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.
So always look on the bright side of death Just before you draw your terminal breath
Life's a piece of shit When you look at it Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true. You'll see it's all a show Keep 'em laughing as you go Just remember that the last laugh is on you.
I need some form of motivation to start on the 70% report. MY ONE AND ONLY REPORT this semester.
Tomorrow marks the last week of my schooling life and I would say its a terrifying thought. More often than not, when I was in Secondary School and during my poly days, I couldn't wait to be done and over with school. Now that the end is near, I would have this sinking feel in my heart whenever I think graduation. There goes my freedom and long school holidays to look forward to. No more concession tickets until I turn old and my hair starts to grey (is there even a pensioner discount in Sg? OH yes!! we do have it, the purple ez link card).
At the moment, I'm still adjusting. Wonder how long it would take to recover from the 'Reverse Homesickness Syndrome'.
The 10 days of being away though I'm still within the Ipswich region has allowed me to understand how the Australians live/work. They were equally fascinated by Asians as well and throughout the 10 days, we fed them with sufficient Chinese cuisine to change their perception that there is definitely more to Asian food than the usual fried Chinese food they get here. The house where we resided for 10 days was simply awesome. Out of the 10 days, 4 was spent doing surveys and the remainder 6 days, I was helping out at Country Comfort (doing housekeeping and waitressing), Ipswich Nature Centre (the most amazing experience of being a 'zookeeper') and Warrego Wines (Kevin, the boss basically showed me what it's like to startup a business from scratch)
Country Comfort a 3.5 star establishment. Housekeeping work here's so much more slack as compared to Gloria Resort Sanya.
The Nature Centre
Meet the Emu and his eggs.
Workshops Rail Museum, one of the most established attractions in Ipswich.
I just mopped my floor an hour ago and it feels dusty now because of the sand in the air. Damn it! My housemates will know how often is it that I mop my floor and I cant believe it's dusty AGAIN!!!!!!!!
