Our Story
After decades designing and furnishing commercial interiors, we saw what sets apart a beautiful space from one teeming with life – something intangible, difficult to fabricate, and truly memorable. We call it Radical Hospitality: an approach to work that starts with how we make people feel, including our clients, our team, and even ourselves. We knew that if we put people first, we could bring meaning to everyday life by creating environments and experiences where people want to be. And then came Porter.
Porter is a team of more than 60 passionate individuals with diverse backgrounds in design, hospitality, and a variety of other fields, unified by a shared passion for not just the work we do, but the way we do it. Together, we’ve completed thousands of projects we’re proud of, from global workplaces to boutique multi-family projects to our flagship, The Shop by Porter.

Our guests know it as their favorite lunch spot and the place they run to for a great bottle of wine on the way to a dinner party. We see it as a place where we can refine what it means to be radically hospitable, connect with our community, and experience first-hand what makes people connect with their surroundings.
