ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – ESPectro Programming – 29 April 2017

Hello Saturday 🙂 This class is what makes every Saturday so fun 🙂

This little girl is Alice, she is Azriel’s sister, and she was the most helpful person today!

Alice set up the class voluntarily 🙂

Preparing things like this is a good training for kids, it is amazing that a kid this young is already aware about giving help 🙂

Like usual, the first thing to do is downloading the newest version of handout 🙂

Today we learned how to scan wifi, and this is Ozan’s 🙂

Once it worked, Reza moved on to the next task

… connecting ESPectro to a LCD I2C so next we will be able to display wifi status to it 🙂

Danesh was catching up with button and LED

He had successfully control LED by pressing the button, and toggle its function too 🙂

Raul won’t stop until everything works 😀

He finished the wifi scanning and and connecting ESPectro to LCD I2C 🙂

Clarence had lots of achievements today 🙂

He had successfully display active wifi to a TFT display, complete with the strength of the signal 🙂

And Clarence also code an algorithm to sort data and display it 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Minecraft Modding, Java Programming & Apps Programming – 22 April 2017

We got a newcomer today 🙂 Raihan decided to join Minecraft Modding Class. He arrived earlier but that gave us time to do preparations by installing things 🙂

Faris (grey shirt with green long sleeves) was busy helping Vian (purple shirt) while helping Raihan (black and red stripes shirt) installing things 🙂

Raihan’s computer is now ready 🙂 It has Minecraft and ScriptCraft Server running well 🙂

Vian was still exploring command blocks and creating interesting things with red stones 🙂

While Nanin got full supervision from Capt. Syahna 🙂

Nanin had added some improvement to her first app 🙂

She added different pics

And another screen to go when the username and password correct 🙂

There was some problem with Gyan’s server and Faris was trying to help out

Koosha (he escaped from the frame when the foto was taken) tried very hard to help too, and finally Gyan solved it himself 😀

Lots of things happening in the Minecraft world 🙂

While Nanin finished another app: Even or Odd Number App 🙂

Raul and Tyo were working on the same thing: creating client server code in Java for chatting 🙂 Hundreds lines of codes and lots to debug 🙂 Should continue it next week 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – ESPectro Programming – 22 April 2017

Our ESPectro Programming class yesterday 🙂 Muhammad arrived early and set up the class, thanks so much 🙂

Yesterday we finishing some installation and start testing the ESPectro starting from LED, button, and then neopixel. Some had tried the wifi connection as well 🙂

This is Ren (left side, with glasses) assisting Nafis to debug his program 🙂

Naifs was so excited that the installation was completely done and he could start exploring the development board 😉

Muhammad was catching up with the handout, he was testing the neopixel

Ren completed all the task given 🙂

Danesh started following handout from the beginning, from LED to button 🙂 He will probably start the neopixel next week 🙂

Raul quickly finished his neopixel traffic light and tried the wifi connection coding

Some codes was already in the example sketches, but most of them should be typed manually 🙂

But if you bear with it, things will work 😉

Reza was doing modification on wifi connecting code so it can detect more than one connection 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Minecraft Programming and Apps Programming

Before the class got packed up 🙂

Dika was very productive today with creating apps 🙂

He created login apps

Dika also created an app to tell whether a number is even or odd 🙂

Nanin! Was ready to move on from GameMaker to Apps Programming 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – ESPectro Programming – 15 April 2017

Our class today before most of the kids showing up 🙂 Very few learning ESPectro Programming today, probably because of the long weekend 🙂

Clarence continued his ESPectro projects, which usually different with what’s been taught in the class 😀

Ren catching up with what he missed next week 🙂

He finished button and button to serial

And neopixel coding. He will continue the neopixel traffic light next week 🙂

After a month, Nafis was back 🙂

We needed to install libraries and drivers before we get started 🙂

Lucky that we have a handy handout we can always refer to! 🙂

We will start IoT Programming very soon, as soon as each kid’s infrastructure is ready 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Coding Class – Minecraft Modding, Java Programming, Apps Programming – 8 April 2017

It’s getting more interesting each time 🙂 For each topic we learned and created more things 😉

Lots of kids, lots of things going on and lots of happiness of course 🙂

Pru was keeping up with her Apps Programming

Pru created a Tilting Game, where a ball supposed to move around the screen when the device is tilted

The app shows the score, the roll, pitch and lives 🙂 We’re going to add an enemy next week 🙂

Faris is very good in coding, almost in any language

He had just finished an Android Studio book

The book is on the left side 🙂 He is now concentrating on Minecraft Modding in JavaScript. Proud to have this one as one of our Captains 🙂

While on the background, there was a serious discussion between parent and our mentor 🙂

Hello Saturday 🙂

Every Saturday kids report their progress or ongoing project 🙂 Koosha created an “operating system” using batch file 🙂

Even Faris wanted to try it 🙂

Koosha finally find out how to change the colors of neopixel 🙂

Clarence came with lots of progress 🙂

He is still working on data visualization

He was asked to read a sensor and display the reading, and he did 🙂

Raul followed the handout very smoothly today 🙂 He finished all the task: button, button to serial monitor and neopixel 🙂

We had a newcomer: Danesh 🙂 Danesh Mom is a Coding Mom Alumni. She understands about coding so she was really helpful with the painful process of installing today :0

Don’t worry Danesh, we will use the toolkit as soon as we finish with this installation and setup process 🙂

We also had Gyan joining Espectro Class today 🙂 He also had to gone through painful process of installation and setting just like Danesh did 😀 We had to continue next week 🙂

Rafi finished his tasks too 🙂

Rafi looked so happy to see how neopixel changing colors like RGB LED 🙂

After 2 weeks of installation etc process, now it’s getting easier to do things with Espectro 🙂
