WordPress Origin Story

I’ve used WordPress in the past, long ago, but have been using Drupal for a long time and hadn’t been doing anything with WP. I recently decided to build some projects with WordPress (in particular, my photography-oriented website, LoweMo.photo), partly to get familiar with what’s changed (a lot!), and partly since there was a particular plugin that wasn’t available otherwise (I wanted to use Symbiostock for my site). Though there are some shortcomings in WordPress compared to Drupal, there is also much to love (the opposite is also true). I’m a big fan of open-source communities, so look forward to learning enough to help “cross-pollinate” and (hopefully) bring some improvements to both of these great CMS projects.
