ProgressNow NM believes that all people regardless of their ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or geographic location, have a right to protection from environmental risks. We focus on progressive policies that promote clean air, water, renewable energy and sustainable living conditions, while holding oil & gas companies accountable for their pollution.
Reproductive justice is our fundamental human right to personal bodily autonomy — to make decisions about having or not having children, and to nurture our children in secure, sustainable, and supportive communities. We focus on the real experiences of New Mexicans’ access to sexual education, contraception, and abortion — the reproductive health care they deserve to thrive —as well as the respect and support to make these decisions.
The spread of false and misleading information is an ongoing and growing threat to progressive policies. At ProgressNow NM, we employ best practices to monitor, assess, and address disinformation in our expansive media landscape. We anticipate false claims and work to build accurate narratives. We identify and, when necessary, debunk false claims that pollute public political discourse here in New Mexico and beyond.
