The 525 Mentored Journey to CCIE
What’s Included in the Project 525 CCIE Program
The Project 525 CCIE program is designed as a 12-month, structured preparation journey that combines expert mentorship, disciplined study, and practical conditioning to support CCIE lab readiness.
CCIE-Certified Expert Mentorship
Candidates receive guidance from experienced, CCIE-certified mentors who understand both the technical depth and the mental discipline required for the CCIE lab. Mentorship focuses on:
- Validating technical approach
- Refining problem-solving techniques
- Identifying and closing knowledge gaps
- Developing exam strategy and time management
This human guidance is a key differentiator for sustained momentum and confidence.
Guided Self-Study and Lab Practice
The program blends structured self-study with guided lab work, helping candidates apply theory consistently and correctly. Lab activities are aligned to the chosen CCIE track and progress in complexity as readiness improves.
Cisco Modeling Labs (CML) – Professional Plus
Candidates receive access to Cisco Modeling Labs (CML) Professional Plus, enabling realistic topology design, testing, and repeatable practice in environments aligned to CCIE-level complexity.
Bootcamp Preparation
A focused bootcamp phase targets gap remediation, scenario practice, and exam conditioning. This phase helps candidates consolidate learning, address weak areas, and prepare mentally for the demands of the CCIE lab environment.
Practice Simulations (Track Dependent)
Where applicable, candidates participate in structured practice simulations designed to mirror the intensity, pacing, and decision-making required during the CCIE lab exam.
Exam Vouchers and Exam Insurance
The program includes:
- One CCIE Lab exam voucher
- 2 x Cisco Professional-level exam vouchers (as defined per cohort)
- Exam insurance under defined conditions, supporting a second attempt where applicable (Ts & Cs Apply)
This provides cost predictability while reinforcing that success depends on readiness, not entitlement.
Progress Tracking and Readiness Reporting
Structured progress tracking provides insight into:
- Technical development
- Lab performance trends
- Readiness signals for exam booking
This visibility benefits both individual candidates and sponsoring organisations.
Cohort-Based Learning Model
Candidates progress alongside a peer cohort, reducing isolation and burnout while encouraging shared learning, accountability, and perspective exchange throughout the journey.
Clear Scope and Expectations
The program is intentionally structured and disciplined:
- No guaranteed CCIE outcomes
- No unlimited mentor access outside scheduled sessions
The focus is on readiness, confidence, and capability, not shortcuts.
