What we do

ProVeg creates global impact, with offices in 14 countries across five continents and more than 250 employees.
OUR MISSION
To accelerate the transition to a sustainable global food system by making plant-rich foods and alternative proteins more accessible and appealing.
Why we do it

Transforming the global food system by making plant-rich foods and alternative proteins more accessible and appealing plays a vital role in addressing many of the world’s most pressing problems and helps build a future that benefits everyone.

Our Guiding Principles
Maximizing our long-term impact
We strive to maximize our long-term impact in order to achieve our mission to accelerate the transition to a sustainable global food system by making plant-rich foods and alternative proteins more accessible and appealing. Our work is informed by the principles of effective altruism – using limited resources to do the most good.
Influencing the influencers
We engage and work with the most impactful multipliers, thought leaders, and innovators to leverage their influence, not only on their own sector but also on society as a whole.
Positive and incentivizing
We motivate and incentivize people and institutions to shift towards eating more plant-based foods and alternative proteins through positive and empowering messaging.
All motivations
We acknowledge and respect that there are different reasons for people to change their food choices. We value them equally and summarize them as our ‘5 Pros’: taste, health, justice, animals, and environment.
Diverse solutions
We support all solutions that enable the adoption of plant-rich diets, as well as all stakeholders who are working towards this goal. We focus on interventions directed at food-systems transformation rather than improving farmed-animal welfare.
