WacKy WeDneSdaY!
Jackson LOVED the whole idea of Wacky Wednesday and having everything be
crazy,
funny,
silly,
and
WACKY!
So ... he dressed himself and put his clothes on ... (drumroll) ... BACKWARDS!
He was giggling the whole time he was getting ready!
He even put on different socks and different shoes.
And it stopped right there. That was enough wacky-ness for him!
We did his hair all crazy-wacky but he could only handle that for about 30 seconds. Then he wanted it "combed down"! :)
When I picked him up from school that day he told me: "Mom, they didn't really do anything funny at school today. Ms. Shani read Wacky Wednesday to us but there weren't any shoes on the wall or anything." Haha! Poor guy! He was hoping for some serious wacky-ness at school! We decided we would celebrate Wacky Wednesday at home sometime and hang Daddy's slippers on the wall. (Ssshhh! Don't tell him!)
Here is Jackson with his preschool class and teacher, Ms. Shani! He LOVES all his friends but I do think his teacher is his favorite. She is awesome and has SO MUCH FUN with all the kids.
I wish I had her energy. :)
Jackson made his very own Cat-In-The-Hat Hat at school.
Isn't this plumeria so beautiful?!! My sweet little guy picks up a plumeria (from underneath the plumeria tree) for me almost every day when he plays outside at preschool. He always puts it in his cubby and gives it to me when I pick him up. One time he told me I could "put it behind my ear to look pretty and Hawaiian". :)
I'm so spoiled by him and his Daddy!
I never want to forget that Jackson does sweet things like this for me. AND ... we have no idea how long we'll be living in Hawaii and able to see these beautiful flowers!
Ok, one more picture.
Here is Jackson and his pet ladybug that he named "Bugfly".
We were swimming at the pool when I noticed "Bugfly" on Jackson's swimshirt.
Jackson was soooo excited and asked if we could take him home and keep him as a pet.
We almost lost him a few times on the walk home but somehow "Bugfly" always ended up somewhere on Jackson. Pretty sure he was just meant to be in our family!
And just to reassure you, NO, Jackson did not smash "Bugfly" while I took this picture! :)
"Bugfly" actually lived with us for a couple days in a small mason jar. (I felt so guilty!) I finally convinced Jackson to let him go so that he could go get his own food and LIVE!
That night, after letting "Bugfly" go, Jackson kept asking: "Where's Bugfly? Is he on me? Is he somewhere on me?"
Wishful thinking, I guess!
Anyone know where I can buy a ladybug farm or something? I know a little boy that would love one!
