Donate to The Queer Trans Project

At The Queer Trans Project, we work toward a world where every trans and gender non-conforming person can access gender-affirming resources without barriers. As a Black-led, trans-led nonprofit, we provide direct support that affirms dignity, autonomy, and self-determination, regardless of age, location, identity, or ability to pay.

Since 2021, we have distributed over $1 million worth of gender-affirming resources to trans and gender non-conforming people in all 50 states and U.S. territories. Research consistently shows that access to gender-affirming resources reduces distress and improves well-being for trans and gender non-conforming people across the lifespan. When access is delayed or denied, the harm is real and immediate.

Your donation helps close that gap.

Make it monthly

Dysphoria does not operate on a one-time timeline. Monthly giving is the most reliable way to sustain barrier-free access to gender-affirming resources year-round. A recurring gift allows us to plan inventory, fulfill requests consistently, and respond quickly as need increases.

Most supporters choose monthly.

Why your donation matters

For many trans and gender non-conforming people, dysphoria affects daily comfort, safety, and mental well-being. Gender-affirming items are not cosmetic or optional. They are often essential tools that help people function, feel safe in public spaces, and move through the world with confidence.

Access to these resources is frequently blocked by cost, geography, age restrictions, or institutional gatekeeping. Evidence shows that when gender-affirming resources are accessible, distress decreases and quality of life improves across age groups. The Queer Trans Project exists to remove these barriers and provide direct, dignified access without forcing people to justify their need.

Your donation helps ensure that access is timely, consistent, and rooted in dignity.

Build-A-Queer Kits

Our signature Build-A-Queer Kits are fully customizable collections of gender-affirming items that may include binders, packers, makeup, pride items, and more. These items can significantly reduce dysphoria and improve comfort, confidence, and day-to-day well-being.

Kits are provided free of charge, with priority early access for BIPOC individuals in recognition of the additional systemic barriers they face.

Gender Affirming Care Flights

In partnership with Elevated Access, we provide free private and commercial flights for trans individuals who must travel to receive gender-affirming care or relocate to safety. For many people, travel is one of the most significant barriers to addressing dysphoria and accessing medically necessary care.

Will you donate $5 or more today so our programs can continue to be an empowering resource to our queer and trans community nationwide?

Other ways to donate

Thousands of trans and nonbinary people reach out for help accessing gender-affirming care. The need is greater than our current resources. Every dollar you give helps bridge the gap and puts life-changing items directly into someone’s hands.
