Jun. 17th, 2015 11:09 amKrys was 16 (Johto Year 502) when the massive weather event later known as the Cataclysm occurred. A native of Olivine City, she was sent to the Lighthouse by her parents to stay safe - and when she came out a week later, she was an orphan.
Afterwards, she took advantage of the general hubbub and chaos to make her way eastwards to New Bark Town. Once she was there, she basically insisted on being given a job in Elm's lab. She'd been working on an application to become one of his lab assistants anyway.
Two years later, Elm asks her to go and look into the Ruins of Alph, and gives her one of his rare Pokemon to make sure that she makes it through the Routes okay. She picks a Chikorita, and ends up getting sidetracked by the Johto Gym Challenge.
When things inevitably go pear-shaped, she returns to the lab and continues her research on weird evolution markers in Pokemon.
