Summer is Happening
It's already the middle of July and I feel like school is right around the corner...in the meantime we have been camping, playing around in our yard, switching bedrooms, going to basketball camp and just having good old fashion fun.

Then we visited Fort Columbia just 15 minutes south of Cape Disappointment - what a great historical stop. The kids loved the cannons and gun emplacement (they were like old time prison cells or something).
Kara has officially lost 2 teeth - one the dentist had to pull and the other we did at home! I sure hope we can loose more teeth at home - don't need those dentist bills:-)
Basketball Camp with our friend Bailee. The girls had so much fun and learned a lot - seriously Kara came home and was reminding Jamin and I how to hold the ball to shoot! LOVE IT!
Great dribbling, Kara. Yes, that is my old basketball buddy in the background - Amy Looker (Clancy). She is the head Varsity coach at Rogers - small world!Great Defense - Move those feet, don't hack like mom always did:-)
Time to see how much you have grown, Bryce!
The Boys are sporting their new summer pajamas and the new arm floaties - the kids thought they looked like "big muscles."
Camping @ Cape Disappointment - a GREAT camping treasure! We had so much fun and were joined by our good friends the Kowalchuks. Jace was in his element - catching and holding SNAKES!!! I wanted nothing to do with that, except I had to take pictures.
My little monkey tree climber - Jace was so in his element on this camping trip.
And did I mention we were on the beach! This was the nicest beach in WA I have ever been...a serious hidden treasure. I can't believe I have lived in WA my entire life, camped a lot and never been to Cape Disappointment!
Kara Turns 7
I can't believe that my first born has just celebrated her 7th birthday. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful daughter like Kara. This year Kara had her first "sleepover" party which she had to have a pinata for...not sure where the obsession came from, but we had to have the Parrot Pinata! The sleepover was success except the FLU hit our house the very next day and on her actual 7th birthday (July 3) - Kara was sick with the flu. Poor girl!
Happy Birthday Kara Elizabeth Marecle - who has grown from a 5 lb 12 oz baby into an amazing young girl:-) We love you so much!

Last Day of Preschool!
Seriously, I can not believe it was Jace's last day of preschool today! We are so proud of him. His first year of preschool and I don't think he cried once and all he ever talked about was how much fun he had. We got an evaluation and I am proud to say HE ROCKED! As a parent I don't want to come across as bragging too much, but I have to be honest he is so smart. Even more exciting is that he really grew socially and has great confidence in himself. Way to go JACE!
Stepping in the door for his last day with his preschool friends (for the summer). He is going to the same preschool next year and I believe most of the kids are returning??? Not really sure as I have been a bad mom and not really been involved with the other families!
Big boy with all his "end of the year" treasures.

Jace & Mrs. Spencer (also Aunt Margaret - she is Grammies sister)
Thank you to Mrs. Spencer and all the parents at preschool. This is a co-op and everyone contributes to the success of these kids. What a great 1st year of preschool.
