So, we've been pretty busy since we got to Rexburg. We decided to share some of the recorded events with you through this montage, plus give the latest update on our lives. Let me first explain some of the events on the montage.
To begin with, we had to document a little bit of the cleaning and moving. I refused to let Richard show the disaster of moving, but then we still haven't gotten a movie of our new place, so the pushing around the box while we were moving in kind of gives an idea of what the place looks like. We'll give a tour some other time (like when the house is clean, which may not be for a while). Richard's brother helped us move in, and brought his little boy who accidentally left his batman costume, so Ethan tried it on for size. Shortly after we moved in, we had the Andersons over for dinner. It was fun to see them again. Our back yard has a little jungle-gym/swing type thing that the kids had fun playing on. (It's so nice having a back yard!) He is such a funny boy, and smart too --almost too smart for his own good, but he's so cute I can hardly get mad at him. Anyway, the Ethan pictures speak for themselves. I'm afraid we did have to get some bathtub pictures though, Ethan loves his baths, and loves playing with the little foam cut outs I made. Recently we got a package with a whole bunch of bubble wrap. Ethan had fun popping them, although his weight alone wasn't enough, and the next morning that was the first thing he wanted to do. Anyway, the September weather was beautiful, but as soon as October came, it got so cold here. The landlords hadn't shut off the sprinkler system yet, so we woke up the morning after our first below-freezing night and found our yard completely encased in ice. About a 1/8 in. on everything. I wished I had gotten more photos, but our camera ran out of batteries. It was fun to watch Ethan exploring this new ice world. He was running around sticking pieces of grass in his mouth and sucking on them like popsicles. Even the apples on the tree were covered in ice. It was so cool! We did have a few accidents on the icy walks though.

As for unrecorded events, here are some main ones in a nut shell . . . Good news: Richard took the GRE and did very well on it. Bad news: I got a kidney stone and was bedridden for 3 days last week. Good news: I got better. Bad news, Richard's mom got the flu, and a bacterial infection on top of that, and possibly pneumonia. But our biggest good news: (besides having a baby in April) is that Richard has been offered a adjunct faculty position here at BYU-I for next Winter and Summer semesters. He will be teaching two Eng 106 classes (which are not in the English department but actually in the academic learning department, so there is no conflict with his father working there) all by himself! That means we won't be moving until next Fall! Yay! Actually, this will be such a great opportunity for Richard, and such a great experience. I am so excited for him. I can't believe what a blessing this is. It's an answer to our prayers (although we wouldn't have dared pray for such a great thing) because we had no idea what we were going to do once Richard graduated in December. Anyway, right now, we are trying to focus on getting through this semester so Richard actually
does graduate, and applying for graduate schools for next fall. So that's all for now.
