I just thought I'd make a short blog, since I haven't posted for a while. We have a few that are in the works.
So, I think our little Ethan has a knack for technology. He's always liked playing with things other than toys like cell phones (real ones), computers, the VCR, the record player, and whatever else he can get his hands on that he probably shouldn't. In the mornings he comes and plays with me while I rest, and he likes to play with the monitor near my bed. He unplugs the cord that connects to it, and plugs it back in (which is why we now have a short). Anyway the other day, he left the room and came back with a cell phone charger he had found which just happened to have the same dc power connector. Accident? I think not. He recognized that connection right off. Anyway, Richard took this movie the other morning, but Ethan's not allowed to play with those cords anymore since the power cord was found with slobber on it and refused to work for a few days.
Throw out the shape sorters, who needs 'em when you have lots of cords and ports and stuff (I'm not even sure of the right terminology for all this stuff).

Strained Kisses
This October went by so fast, I could hardly keep up with it. I kept busy playing with Ethan, and I even made applesauce with my upstairs neighbor from the apples in our backyard. We had a lot of good weather --which was great for playing in the park, but as soon as November came we got our first snow. Ethan thought it was cool.
Like always, we've added some fun movies of Ethan with his silly antics. Personally I love the dancing to "If I Were a Rich Man" (and yes, I know his pajamas don't fit, but we ran out of laundry that morning. Still, I love his bed-head). I've decided that since having Ethan, I've smiled or laughed more per day than I ever did beforehand. He makes me laugh so hard, and I love him so much. Oh, and thank you to Richard's sister Andrea; she lent us the little slide to help Ethan work off some energy when the weather is bad. He loves it. By the way, we gave Ethan a haircut the other day, and got some before and after pictures to show you. As you can tell, he doesn't really like haircuts, but he did okay for the first half while Richard juggled in front of him. He got hair all over him, and us, and it made his back look like that of a very hairy man. I don't think it's any premonition of the future, I don't think he has the genes for it, but who knows?
