This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Rin anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

[ Action ]
[ If any of you have gone to the Battle Dome since it opened up again after the event with six new rooms (and let's face it, a bunch of you probably have) you've probably seen Rin in there. Or Silver. Actually, both of them. You see, the both of them have been training incessantly for the last month (though even more so since they were all but assured a constant room via the expansion) in preparation for a match that Rin's due to have at the end of the month. As such, much of their training has been around a field Rin actually is familiar with and, after this month, he's pretty sure he's not cut out for: Pokémon training.
A chance encounter with Lance a while back led to the challenge due to come at the end of this month, and Rin's been working with Silver and Skarmy to try to get Rin and Skarmy to function as a proper team. It's been rough going - Rin has been distractible, Skarmy's been fairly resistant (and also distractible) and Silver has been short on sleep. Still, you might witness them are many hours the day practicing battles, commands... ... lighting things on (blue) fire? No, that last one is just Rin dicking around. But when he see him doing that you might also see Silver hitting him with a newspaper or comic book he's got rolled up to do it with, or in extreme cases, soaking him with a blast of water from his buddy Feraligatr.
Because they are at the Battle Dome so much (going so far as to pitch a tent in a simulation of a forest in one of the rooms, some nights, literally camping out in there) you can see them doing any number of things, including, but not limited to: what's described above!, watching the stars in a simulation of the Viridian Forest or on a mountain of simulated Sneasels, Rin programming in some demons from home (including but not limited to Reapers, Amaimon, Phantom Trains, and hobgoblins), the two of them going out to get snacks from the vending machines, the two of them going to the bathroom in turns in the Med Center's bathroom to wash their faces, the two of them importing more food, and other whacky antics we can fill in if you want to just run into them doing goofy stuff. Possibly Rin trying to book-study for the school mentioned below
Additionally, Silver and Rin do have responsibilities outside of training. While Rin compromises with Silver to miss half his days of school in the week, he does go out to do half of them (though he can't help but find it a little pointless, it feels disrespectful to Shiemi and Yukio not go at all), and works shifts at Seventh Heaven. In all places, the guy looks increasingly haggard and tired, and not just from over-working himself. When he does get to sleep, he's not sleeping nearly as much as he'd like. So you might also see him nodding off on a bench or something ]

[ Back from his second mission in the early evening of today and what has he learned...? ... Well, a few things, actually. And it's because of those few things he's learned that this comes in three major sections: ]
[ Voice ]
So, tell me here- there's no freakin' way that most people can talk to trees, right?
[ Because of course they can't if Silver is a weird tree-person than that is him being weird. Okay. Ok. But after that... the fight with the bigger Shift Hunter the other day has made him realize that perhaps he needs to refine himself a little more. In that respect, he misses Logan. Even if the guy was exacting and probably a little crazy (hell, he liked to train in the morning) it still stood out to him. Logan. Shura. He's had a lot of crazy mentors, so he thinks about how to word this before... ]
'N uh. Is there anyone out there who's good at training people with super powers? [ He finds it a little weird to call what he's got super powers, but it's close enough ] Or special abilities, stuff like that.
[ And then finally... ]
[ Action ]
[ Skarmy (the Skarmory) did not go on the mission with them because Rin is not (and in her mind will never be) her trainer. She's in trainer limbo, if you will. So she hung out at the house got to know some of the people and pokémon there no doubt, but she still was quite frustrated to not have Rin there as a physical reminder of the trainer she didn't have right now. Silver too, actually.
Which is why when Rin comes back, she immediately picks a fight with him as soon as he puts on his pajamas. Rin responds in kind, transforming into his full demon form to match her (while still in his pajamas). While the sword is discarded early on, this does mean that there's a whirling ball of blue fire punching and kicking at a seven or eight foot tall bird made of metal shooting lasers and launching spikes at him, among other things. While the two are play-fighting the both of them are a bit hot tempered and the both of them are quite strong, so it's possible there will be property damage as they leap/fly all over the area around the Flame Building and House 11.
Feel free to bare witness or see an empty house get partially blown up or something else like that. ]

Shiemi went home. [ It's much later in the day when he says this ] ...'N she's gonna be okay there so... so it's fine, but 'm sorry for all her friends. [ He swallows. He's okay. No one should be here. No one deserves to be here ] I don't know the names of all've her plants as well as I oughta, or how you care for all've 'em... but uh. If anyone wants to have one of her plants here, I can tell you what it's named and what I know about lookin' after them.
[ If you want something to remember her by. That's... that's okay, right? ]
'N... the house is too big for me. It was kinda too big for just me 'n Shiemi too, and we was always looking for a roommate. Does anyone wanna come here? [ I don't want to be alone-- but he wouldn't be alone, Skarmy and Midori are here at least. Is it right for him to have Skarmy with him though? He's not that trainer thing... ] Like. Friends of mine, I guess... or hers?
[ A beat. And he snarls, even if he said he wouldn't lose his temper here ] Nevermind. That's all I got.
[ He's going to go back to seeing if reading manga can be good now. But even that reminds him of someone else from his home who went home. Someone who is important to both him and Shiemi, but- ... but at least she isn't that much older than him anymore. Unlike him. ]

Where's Pilouette? [ But he knows. He suspects, at least. He didn't see her when he watched everyone come in. He was then reminded people died, and today that people are coming back. But still not her - he hasn't seen her and he doesn't know. He sounds somewhat lost, he sounds choked up. He half wants to just leave the journal behind and...
Precis... ] I want to- ... Wait, what was that!
[ And then it cuts off- ]
[ Action ]
[ Because his house just vanished. So did the pool There's just a grassy field with a tree in the middle of it. Shiemi was out somewhere and now it's just him and Skarmy, Shiemi's seven foot tall murderbird of steel. Her and Rin loo confused at each other. And then Skarmy squawks at him before making to fly off. Rin ends up flipping her the bird before going to collect Midori the turtle and go off to look all over down for where his house just vanished to ]

[ Voice (SOME NEBULOUS DAY PROBABLY DAY 11 (APRIL 19th)) ]
'Ey! Anyone got any quests to be done... or wanna join me on quests? I've been feelin' like I should go on an adventure lately, and it'll be easier and more fun with more people.
[ Action (Day 11 (April 19th) -> Day 13 (April 21st), technically, but he'll also have been at this for Day 9 (april 17th) -> Day 10 (April 18th) too probably. Maybe. If anyone wants.) ]
[ And after that, Rin will be on his quest! Or well, he will be wearing a silly knight hat and looking around for some things he can nobly embark on, be it RPG style or fairy tale style. Really, he doesn't have a story for himself yet. (so basically feel free to tag in with anything and everything)
But his horoscopes, which he's been getting since the start of the event, do not seem to bode well today.
• The only thing to fear is fear itself.
• The termites in your skull are making more noise than ever this week.
• You will inadvertantly shoplift several times this week. (which he will, by the way - both in the shops and wandering into people's homes like a true RPG protagonist to look into their vases and drawers and stuff so feel free to do that too)
• Your socks don't match.
Well the last one is definitely true at least. But the first two are unsettling to him, particularly given how jumpy he's started to become about his own powers... (which is leading up tosome log I'll put up in a few days this)
Bonus!: What he was up to last week which I didn't get up until now! Which is why it's linked! I might edit in a comment on the second log if I feel inspired but probably not! ]

Hey guys, guys! I managed to work out a new attack up here! See, check this out!
[ The video shows Rin excited... but anyone who hasn't seen him while his sword is drawn might be a little surprised. His fangs and ears are both longer, and he also has blue "horns" on his head made out of blue fire. He's also got a rather large demonic aura right now, but you can't sense that through the book. And once he steps back from the video, he's got elongated claws and the end of his tail has flames too.
He's set the book up against a boulder and he's clearly somewhere up in the mountains. He's shouting at the book so that it's more clear what he's doing. But first things first, he surrounds himself and his sword with some of his blue flames ]
Okay so I did work out how to control my flames a while back [for the most part... the barrier's given him some issues when it coms to very fine tuned things] and I can also do stuff like this!
[ And at this, pointing out a decent sized rock over here, he slices it with his flaming sword - and the sword slices the rock clean in half. While he does this he also lets out a bit of an echoing shout, to focus himself. In the aftermath, though, the rock does still seem to be on fire still (blue fire) oops. But either way!! ]
See? But now I worked out something else, so check this out.
[ And he steps back, pulls his sword back, and focuses. The camera angle isn't great to see it, but in the distance there's several cans set up to stand on top of some big rock. And then he brings his sword in a downward arc and calls out: ]
Satan Slash!
[ And with that, a wave of blue fire which may or may not be semi-solid flies out from his sword (like so) and -- while he intends to knock over the cans alone the wave is too big and sends them flying back a bit. But they are not lit on fire, nor was anything else.
Either way, he turns back to the camera, grinning ]
So uh, sorry for bein' out in the mountains for a while now, but I pulled this off! I'll try no to bring any bears back to town, and I'll be back soon.

He's antsy, and with no clear training schedule at the moment (what with both Logan and Ororo having gone home) and Seventh Heaven being under-staffed-ish in terms of chefs at the moment he's been trying to put in extra hours there. But it's more than he can handle right now. It'll be in the hands of the robot and Aleos now, but... ]
Hey. If anyone wants to work at Seventh Heaven, especially if you wanna be a chef or a bartender, can you speak up? I might have you talk to someone else but we could use both of those.
Aleos, can you handle talking to people? [Not that he talked it out with the guy ahead of time... but he knows what test Rin put him up to, so he can handle it. Or Isamu or Richard can step in. Or... anyone else. Or he'll get back to it when he's back. ] I can't stick around here.
[ While he's trying to remain cool for that, he sounds increasingly angry towards the end there, and finally, he just cuts it off. (Check out the people currently working there here!! He will answer voiced things, but it'll be on a time delay for after he's tired out from the next part ]

[ But with that out of the way he's frustrated enough that he's going to go and try his hand at the barrier himself. He's said to people before they need to be ready for consequences if they go for it, but he's going to try the consequences anyway. Thus, Kurikara is drawn and he's a blue firey demonic blur as he races along the forest and mountain range to head to the outer wall. Which may or may not attract Moro but he's not thinking that hard now, he just needs to see this through.
People can encounter him en route there, or when he eventually does get to the barrier, and he'll probably end up hurt from the kickback of his attacks to it. But while he is attacking you'll see some impressive jumps, punches, and big swaths of blue fire ]

[ It's Christmas Eve. ... It's Christmas Eve, he's living with two girls, has an ambiguous relationship with another girl entirely. It's been a long and weird year and his birthday is coming up. Honestly, he didn't want to have his birthday come again here and again end up older than Yukio... but Shiemi said they would do a party.
With that and his plan for Christmas Gifts in mind, Rin needs to go shopping before anything today, picking up large quantities of ingredients at the Grocery and the Bakery and even a little bit at the Convenience Store. In the midst of this, he's also on the look out for any of his friends so that he can invite them to his birthday party and maybe do a little bit of inquiry about what they might want to eat. ]

[ Later, when he is cooking and baking... ]

[A drawn out yawn before...] What did I even miss... [Rin is up now, for the first time in... a while. He'd been sleeping a lot before then with intermittent periods of being awake for short hours. And now, for once, he doesn't want to sleep more. Not the lead because he's really hungry, having not really eaten for the past three days... or seen Shiemi or Skarmy in the house. Or anything. Really, the thing which immediately stood out when he finally got up and wasn't sleeping was that someone (probably Eleanor) had put a huge stack of homework by his bad.
That said, he's eating cereal now, and isn't feeling the need to nod off again despite being up almost an hour (he even showered) which is why he's using his journal]
Sorry, uh, work 'n school people and Wolverine. My bad - I guess I got really sick or something. Shiemi was takin' care of me most of the time too so sorry to any of her friends. [A drawn out yawn before...] What did I even miss... [Rin is up now, for the first time in... a while. He'd been sleeping a lot before then with intermittent periods of being awake for short hours. And now, for once, he doesn't want to sleep more. Not the lead because he's really hungry, having not really eaten for the past three days... or seen Shiemi or Skarmy in the house. Or anything. Really, the thing which immediately stood out when he finally got up and wasn't sleeping was that someone (probably Eleanor) had put a huge stack of homework by his bad.
That said, he's eating cereal now, and isn't feeling the need to nod off again despite being up almost an hour (he even showered) which is why he's using his journal]
Sorry, uh, work 'n school people and Wolverine. My bad - I guess I got really sick or something. Shiemi was takin' care of me most of the time too so sorry to any of her friends. [...and true to his word, Rin takes time off from both his work and his training today to go into the words and try to hack down some firewood with an ax he found at the Item Shop. He's sort of always wanted to try this, and seeing as how they're having a bonfire soon, it might be just be the perfect time! So there's a guy with a tail and a sword on the ground near him who is trying to hack up some firewood at the forest's edge with no real idea of which sorts of trees or what sort of timber is best for this.

This's... kind way late, so uh. Sorry 'bout that, Bulla.
[And with that out of the way] Anyway! Shiemi and I're living alone now [Aside fro ma fox, a giant metal bird, a lot of plants, and a turtle] and we were kinda thinking this place is too big for it to only be the two've us. But we also don't really wanna leave, 'cus we've got all the plants and lamps and stuff set up, plus there's the pool in the backyard... but, the pool's kinda part of our idea here!
See, we figured that even though summer's pretty much over, before it starts to get cold again, we'd have a big pool party! Well, as big as it can be, 'cus the pool's not all that big, but people can hang out by it and swim and I'll be cookin' stuff and... it'll be like a barbeque too. But we'd use that to meet anyone who wants to be one of our roommates, and you can use it to see the place too! And even if you don't, you can come over and have a good time!

Sound good? M'thinking that we should do this Friday, so if anyone wants to come and be a part've it all, or help out or whatever, just... tell us! I gotta know how much to cook for, after all.

[Accidental Voice -> Accidental Recorded List Thing]
Yeah, I guess I ought to make two lists... for home, and for hear. That'd be more fair, right?
[Tapping his pen. Rin, you see, is at home and editing his cool guy list. Back home it was pretty obvious where people fell and where people didn't. The problem is, here, there's more people, they go home, and sometimes people are just killing people happy. There's a lot little "ughs, errs, and aahs" as he works here, and then finally he seems to have finished it, goes "aha!" and stands to go and goes to make some lunch.
Thing is, a light breeze blows the list onto the journal and a clip of it is recorded]

[Aaand after that embarrassment he sets out for the town. You know, aside from his job at Seventh Heaven and training with Wolverine, he really doesn't have a lot going on. And after not being in this last draft, he feels like that probably isn't enough, right? He tries to remember if he had anything going on - and he recalls two things. One bet with Yuri which isn't important anymore because she admitted she was his friend in her going away letter and one thing where he was supposed to do... but it would be weird to call out Kotomi. And the snow's melted too, so he can't do that...
So instead he goes around to do fun things. Hes goes to the Rec Center and plays games, he goes to the Item Shop to find things, and he takes his turtle, Midori, out from the house to see the outside now it's pretty warm. Run into him anywhere in town doing random things he thinks might be fun. if you want random card you can specify a place and I'll make up some stuff]

So uh, does anyone want some silly hats? [A beat] I mean, I got a lot of them over that whole... thing with Valentines. [Awkward. Sigh] So, I don't really need them, but does anyone want these things? Some of them are pretty cool!

[Morning Action]
[After this discussion last month about making things out of snow and the perks of doing so, there's the beginnings of a foundation for a snow castle taking shape nearby house 15. It doesn't look like much yet, but it's easy to make out the outer wall and the door of the sculpture if you come over to take a better look.
Around the castle-in-the-making are Rin and Caius (accepted) who are busy packing snow onto the walls to build them up. There's still a lot of work that needs to be done to make it look like anything worthy of being called a castle, but it'll certainly end up looking good if the base of the castle is anything to go off of. Impressive even.]
[Midday Action]
[There's not as much snow around as there was before and the heatwave certainly isn't helping things. Most of the snow around the castle has been scooped up so there's only slush and grass left. At least the castle looks more castle like by this point, now sporting an archway for a door and a few thin windows one the front and back which were probably made by punching the snow out from the wall rather than them being a planned design choice.
Those living near house 15 might find someone walking around their front or back yards, gathering up some snow and carrying it back to the castle. It's just snow so hopefully no one minds sharing a bit of it, rest assured it's going towards something very cool.]

If you pass by you should come take a look at how impressive this thing is. It's not as spacious inside as what was planned, so you might need to duck down a little in case you scrape your head and get a head full of snow.

Ossu, it's me, Rin. I uh, finally found my journal. [and he's not talking about where it was because he feels very foolish about where he ultimately found it. In fact, he coughs before moving on-]
So how many've you have heard of exorcists? Exorcists are basically people who save normal people from demons, when demons are causing problems or hurting people. [It's been too long] I'm an exorcist in training and so're the two girls I live with, Shiemi and Izumo. [I've been here a year] So if anyone's got some demon problems, or I guess any kinda evil spirit or stuff like that, you should know to call us. We can handle it quickly. [Please, give me something that makes sense again] ...So that's all, I guess.
[Action]
[And after that, Rin was thinking he'd sit around, surfing the journal now that he'd been without it so long, but he got bored with that after doing it three minutes. Plus with how much snow he'd had to suffer in the Ice Age, it not getting any warmer, really, and his impending birthday... he's just settled for a long walk all over town. Picking up a new coat at the clothing shop, going to see both the bridges, skirting the forest's edge. He's really all over the place, thinking about how it's been far too long.
Run into him in the course of any of that, he's a bit lost in thought and it doesn't really suit him.

When he wakes up the next morning, he remembers that he was shot. As far as he knows, unless he melted them or burned the or something, he's still got three bullets inside of him. Actually, when he sits up in the morning, he realizes it hurts to sit up, now he's at 50%. He groans, and after scribbling something for Shiemi and Izumo about going to the hospital, he head off to the Med Center.
To ask what to do about bullets in him. He'll be showing up at about noon]

[Later in the day, once he's slept and gone to the hospital, he puts on the voice for the journal-] Oiiii! Who the hell's got my sword?! If you don't fork it over, I'm gonna find you, and you're gonna regret taking iiiit!!
[Because that's why I had to come back.
...Well not entirely, but enough of the reason for him to be even more mad than he should be for someone taking his father's legacy. Not like they could know.]

[More to give himself something to focus on which isn't the fact he's back and other people aren't, he goes to fruitlessly work Seventh Heaven to cook for whoever comes in. And damn does he hope someone come in. He actually stays there way beyond when he usually would - way past his usual shift. Sure he's missing the sunlight (which he sorely missed in Vaskoth) but it's so misty and there's a lot of rats he needs to clean out for some reason.
Either way, by the time he actually steps out of it, it's nightfall...
An ghosts are partying in the square. His last experience with ghosts was really annoying, but these guys actually seem cool, so he deigns to party with them for a while. It's fun! ...Aside from when they prank him, but he can survive that! Run into him there, at the job, or other places between]

I'm sorry! During that pageant a while back! I uh, caused a problem for a lot of people [by burning their clothes off] and so I'm sorry for that! [He gets up, bows again, and then gets up again. ...Before itching his muscular abs, feeling awkward. Where should he- oh right!] And uh... Congrats, Fenimore! I already congratulated Shiemi, but you got straight up third place! That's awesome!

Now outside of his house (so just outside House 15) blue fire wraps around his head and around his arms and his head and around his shoulders. As his rage and self-disgust builds a roar starts to build up in his throat until his eyes turn into cat like slits. His grip on Kurikara becomes white knuckled before he shouts out at the sky, at no one in particular-]
There's not a single thing just about this!!

He hasn't. But now he has an objective. Without a journal, he'll need to actually go into town and try to find this people by word of mouth. So once in town he'll be accosting your characters to ask them if they know where he can find Nara Shikamaru, Albert Silverberg, or Trafalgar Law. Specifically those three names because he's going to collect them for something important. He woke up a bit late int he day to have gone to the Town Meeting this morning, so he's doing this more in the early afternoon, looking grim but less frustrated than he was back when he had the explosion outside of his house. Once he finds those three individuals, he'll be going to take them to the tunnels. Of course, anyone else can see him running all over bufu doing this
OOC: When making this post I pre-plotted this out with Akai. When Rin talks to John, John is going to tell him to seek out Law (as the guy who was looking after Bil), Albert (as a guy he trusts in the barrier), and Shikamaru (as another capable strategist) and bring them to him instead of just chatting with Rin himself. Other people are free to question it, of course, but this is the end result planned out so as to not make it too confusing]

[And if you felt the above options were limited and you want to run into Rin in the afternoon after he collects these people, that's good too! In the afternoon after he runs errands for John he'll be heading to the Dome (Silver introduced him to it) and fighting a program of Amaimon he found. So... expect a fight something like this one going on in your Dome for people who like to spectate on things like that.]

Now outside of his house (so just outside House 15) blue fire wraps around his head and around his arms and his head and around his shoulders. As his rage and self-disgust builds a roar starts to build up in his throat until his eyes turn into cat like slits. His grip on Kurikara becomes white knuckled before he shouts out at the sky, at no one in particular-]

( In which Rin fights a flaming kung fu bird in the morning )
[Action 2]
[Okay so after a mostly naked Rin goes home to change, he concludes, once more, that this apartment is depressingly cramped and lacks the sunlight he knows Shiemi loves, even if he lugged in lamps for her plants. So he takes Midori (his box turtle he got from Jacqli's departure) and goes to explore outside for a while, sword at his back and back in his human form. There are three major things you might encounter him doing:
001: Looking at House 15 like a creeper. Inspecting it inside and out
002: Talking to himself in the bathroom of Seventh Heaven and various shops. Possibly in House 15 too. He is talking to himself in the mirror, trying to psyche himself up about asking Shiemi out on a date and thus spewing various pick up lines he heard before at the mirror (though going home and bring friendzoned has partially convinced him this won't work)
003: Sleeping. Namely, sleeping out against a tree shirtless (...don't ask. Or do, both work) with a box turtle on his lap. His tail is exposed and his sword bundle is next to him ]
