We have a kindergartener

Adeline's school moved to year round so she had her first day of kindergarten today. How in the world is our little girl old enough to be going to kindergarten? Man how time flies. She's been very excited and the day finally arrived - she loved it!

I apologize for posting the plea for help with the Harmon's contest and then disappearing into the great cyber void. We are all still alive and well and here is a brief summary of the last year.

We did win the Harmon's groceries for a year contest. Well, due to some technical problems they ended up giving the prize to all six finalists. But a big thank you to everyone who voted - we really appreciate it. We are down to the final gift card and it has been great!

Erin next to our entry
In December 2010 we put an offer on a short sale in our neighborhood and after eight long months of waiting we finally closed on the house in August 2011. We love the house and it was definitely worth the wait.

The garden is currently thriving. We're already reaping the benefits in the form of squash and zucchini
In April of this year we welcomed little Ollie Warren into the family. Adeline and Milo have taken to him quite nicely and shower him with plenty of love and attention.

Adeline is getting ready to start kindergarten next week. She's very excited. She has been doing dance and soccer and is as sweet, fun and happy as ever.

Milo is as energetic as ever and is always saying funny things. He is very affectionate. He is definitely a boy in his love for guns and swords. He wasn't old enough to officially be on Adeline's soccer team, but we let him join in for the practices.

Adeline and Milo are great friends and play together very well. It's always entertaining to have them around.

Star Wars has been big around our house lately so it was a great surprise when Erin found some lightsabers at a garage sale.

We had a campout in our backyard a few weeks ago including roasted hot dogs and smores. It all went perfectly except for Milo needing to go inside at 2am because he was too cold.
And that's about all for now.

Is anyone still there?

Wow nearly 11 months can fly by super fast. I've meant to update the blog for months now, but it just hasn't happened. I don't have anything super exciting to report, but here's the quick version of the last long while.

After graduating I got hired by Overstock.com and started working there at the end of July. I was working as an analyst with the electronics and media departments, but I just got moved over to bedding, bath, linens, and luggage. I am learning a lot and enjoy working at Overstock.

In August we moved from Orem to Woods Cross and we really like our neighborhood.

Adeline turned 3 in August and Milo turned 1 in December. They really do grow up fast. Adeline is in a dance class and she loves it. 2 of her most favorite things are singing songs in primary and dance class. Milo is getting into everything and learning a lot.

That's the major news...for now.

Rather than post a year's worth of pics here are some from the last couple of months.

ImageI told you she loves to dance. A lot of her dancing involves striking funny poses.

The poses have gotten more dance-esque since she started dance class. Check out these 3 winners below from the pre-dance days at Sesame Street Live.

ImageOne word: Vogue.

ImageI've taken her ice skating a couple of times now and we generally spend more time driving to the rink than actually on the ice, but it's still fun and she's definitely getting better.

ImageMilo hamming it up for the camera. I remember Adeline used to do the same big open mouth thing when we asked her to smile.

ImageMilo isn't quite the eater that Adeline was, but one thing he'll never turn down is ice cream.

Milo's blessing, Devan's graduation, & more

This past month has been pretty exciting for us. We blessed Milo towards the beginning of April and he behaved perfectly. He has been a great baby so farhealthy and happy. Adeline is still as sweet as can be and gets funner and funnier everyday. Erin is doing great and is excited that garage sale season is back. I survived the end of the MBA program and graduated last week. I had a great time, learned a lot, and met some incredible people. I'm excited to find a job and start the next stage of life, but it is a little sad to have to say goodbye to some good friends.

Here is Milo ready for his blessing and some other pics of fun little guy.

ImageShe loves to paint and color with her markershere is a sampling of her work.

ImageHere's a spring photo shoot. She loves playing with sticks.

ImageThe silly shot.

ImageShe can do silly, she can do serious, and in this picture we see she can even do silly-serious. America's Next Top Model here she comes.

ImageI'm not sure what this look is, but I just think it's a funny picture.

ImageOur neighbors put their trampoline up a few weeks ago and now she loves to jump. We took her to Kangaroo Zoo this last week because the weather has been bad and she loved it.

ImageShe did a great job climbing in, around, and on top of the inflatables and she loved this one with the yellow slide.

She was hilarious in this little area. She loved jumping on the little humps of the sea monster, but she misjudged it a little on this one...still fun though.

She gets the jump right on this one, but Nessy gets her revenge when the hump knocks her over at the end.

Here are some photos from my graduation.
