When women dress so, they
project themselves as bodies to be stared at. So is it inaccurate to
assume that they are seeing themselves as sexual objects? And if they see
themselves as sexual objects, is it surprising that others do, as well?
And if others see them as sexual objects and, more importantly, see them as
presenting themselves as sexual objects, is it too surprising
that they treat women as sexual objects? It's not right. But it
seems logical.
You might respond, "Well,
shouldn't they be able to dress the way they want to?" So 99% of
them want to dress provocatively. And 99% of
males want to dress in tuxes? It seems more likely that
these are culturally determined.
I may protest by wearing the
same nondescript outfit to work every day this week. You know, like the
guys do. It won't be much of a protest, I know, because who ever notices
what I wear?
