Membership Committee
This committee is responsible for the annual membership renewal and recruitment campaign. Committee members work with TREC staff to reach out to members and prospective members about engagement opportunities and how to enhance their membership experience.

Programs Committee
This committee is responsible for planning a wide range of educational programs and meetings, including Speaker Series, Market Matters, and Industry Insights, as well as soliciting sponsorships.

Finance Committee
This committee is responsible for the financial oversight of the organization, including budgeting, investment management and strategy, and other initiatives as the Executive Committee may assign from time to time.

Big Ideas Committee
The Big Ideas Committee will serve as a cross-organizational effort to identify and lead transformative projects beyond TREC and TREC Community Investors’ current scope of work to align around a central project or idea. In addition, the Committee will handle proposal submissions, member input, and technical review.
TREC Connects Networking Groups
Meet with a small group to discuss business, current trends, and local issues while building relationships with fellow TREC members across a variety of businesses in the industry.

Leadership Development

Associate Leadership Council (ALC)
The Associate Leadership Council is TREC’s premier leadership development program. Class members participate in 10 monthly program days and lunches, receive personalized training with an executive coaching firm, build their industry networks, and implement a community investment project.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Leadership Committee
This committee is responsible for helping TREC, members, boards, and committees set goals for greater diversity, equity, and inclusion through programming, recruitment, education, and leadership.

Leadership Alumni Committee
Responsible for organizing networking and educational programming for more than 790 graduates of the Associate Leadership Council (ALC) and Executive Leadership Program.

Public Policy
To achieve The Real Estate Council’s vision of a world-class and livable North Texas for all, TREC advocates for public policy issues that impact our industry and promote long-term economic growth and vitality throughout the region. Your support of our Public Policy Committee and Political Action Committee is crucial to helping us amplify our voices, support candidates, and impact policy.

Public Policy Committee
The Public Policy Committee is responsible for building awareness among members on policy issues that impact the commercial real estate industry throughout the region. Members play a vital role in researching, developing, and reporting on key issues; provide feedback; and make recommendations to government officials and entities when appropriate.

TREC Political Action Committee (PAC)
TREC Political Action Committee (PAC) supports candidates and funds advocacy efforts, policy campaigns, and programs supporting TREC’s public policy priorities. Governed by a board of directors and utilizing funds from PAC membership fees and contributions, TREC PAC strives to be faithful stewards of your dollars. Contributions must be from personal funds payable to The Real Estate Council PAC and are not tax deductible.

TREC Special Events
FightNight
The FightNight Committee is responsible for planning TREC Community Investors’ largest fundraiser of the year and soliciting sponsorships, raffle prizes, and in-kind donations for the event. This committee consists of a chair, vice-chair, underwriting chair, table sales chair, boxing chair, raffle price chair, raffle sales chair, and a volunteer chair. Sub-committee positions are also available.

FightNight Underwriting Committee
This Committee leads efforts to secure top underwriting sponsorships for these events. Committee members seek financial support and help ensure sponsor recognition is aligned with each sponsor’s commitment and event budget. Additionally, the committee helps to expand TREC’s prospect list for event solicitation.
FightNight Table Sales Committee
This committee is responsible for sponsor table sales and assisting the FightNight Committee with sales plan and prospecting new companies.
FightNight Raffle Prize Committee
This committee secures donations of raffle prizes and assists FightNight Committee with creative tactics for presales and on-site sales.
Young Guns Casino Night
This committee is responsible for planning the annual Young Guns Casino Night and soliciting sponsorships, raffle prizes, and in-kind donations for the event. Funds raised during this casino-theme event fund the Young Guns Community Investors project.

Young Guns Core Committee
The Young Guns Core Committee is comprised of all Young Guns Committee Chairs. The committee is responsible for the facilitation of all Young Guns programs, events, and initiatives throughout the year and providing insights to the TREC board on the Young Guns member experience. To participate on Young Guns Core Committee, Young Guns must apply for a position the year prior. Selections are made in October for the next calendar year.

Young Guns Membership Engagement Committee
This committee is responsible for retaining and recruiting Young Guns members, focusing on diversity in both membership and industry, educating members on engagement opportunities, and enhancing the member experience.

This committee is responsible for managing and executing the annual Young Guns Community Investors Project. Individuals working on the project bring professional skills, source in-kind donations, and participate in volunteer workdays. This committee has a selection and approval process.
