prescription lenses, dual batteries. prescription lenses, dual batteries.

hoping this isn't a re-post.

what provisions are being made for us near/far sighted humans?

i.e. prescription lenses/glasses/focus knob/etc...

i use my computer pretty much all day. are there any provisions for changing batteries while the system is running? no place to plug in when in the field. external battery charger stations/recommendations? options to purchase additional or to print diy battery packs?

SimulaVR communicating with ARM based linux Ubuntu 18 system SimulaVR communicating with ARM based linux Ubuntu 18 system

Are SimulaVR goggles supported by ubuntu 18 Linux distributions on ARM processors (Nvidia Xavier NX)? Can we send the images rendered by Xavier GPU and see that in SimulaVR?

How is HeadTracking data shared - USB3.0 is the interface but is the data visible in the system via HID, VCP or RNDIS? Are there drivers from the manufacturer for this type of system?

Please kindly advise

nreal air is already available for purchase(with linux only works as a 2d display in front of your eyes, but supposedly 3d mode will be added in the near future)

By my calculation this is how displays compare(except colors, clarity etc) :

name ppd diagonal FoV Horizontal FoV Vertical FoV
Simula One 35.5 ~140° 100° 100°
Nreal Air 49 46° ~40° ~22°

Since Simula hasn't been released yet, there is probably a chance to reevaluate and focus on higher ppd at the expense of viewing angle

The simplest would be to replace the display for a higher resolution one, but even if they exist it would probably mean much higher costs.

Another choice is to change optics design to have a smaller FoV but higher ppd, and with your lenses, that make it higher in the sweet spot, it seems that even 60ppd is achievable for a small enough FoV which is probably a way to go for a work focused hm/vr display

Also, just a thought, with the same overall design but two optics options, you could have a replaceable optics for different scenarios and/or customers
