Family Easter Egg Hunt
The Sunday before Easter we celebrated Mom's birthday at Mike and Kim's and had an Easter Egg hunt for the kids. The girls had fun looking for eggs with their little cousins. Natalie ran around as fast as she could and within a few minutes her basket was completely full. She kindly shared some of her eggs with the younger kids that weren't quite as fast as her.

He's a Jolly Old Man
The girls were suppose to sing this at our family talent show but we had a feeling that they would get stage freight at the last minute so we tapped them practicing it a few days before.
Baby Coralee
A few days after Halloween I got a call from my mom that my little sister Jackie was in labor and on her way to the hospital. I was like great...call me when the baby's here. I had to be with Jackie in the hospital when she had her first baby because my mom was out of town. Her epidural didn't work and I spent half the time in the bathroom crying because I couldn't stand seeing her is so much pain. I was not about to relive that experience.
My mom called me back and said Jackie was crying for me to come. Well, I couldn't let her down and I had high hopes that her epidural would work this time even though I knew she didn't want one...I was pretty sure I could talk her into it. I grabbed a huge bag of Halloween candy and my camera and off I went.
She had such an amazing labor. The epidural worked much better for her and I didn't even cry one time and best of all my mom was there!!!
They named her Coralee Evelyn Brown and lucky for me (but not poor Jackie) all the drama happend their first night in the hospital after I left. Coralee is almost 2 months old now and she is getting super cute and chubby. Can I just borrow her for a couple days Jackie???

Thanksgiving 2009

We went to my sister JoLene's house for Thanksgiving. I spent about an hour of Thanksgiving day at the ER trying to get a suction canister for my dad that my mom had left at home. He can't cough so we have to suction his throat and if he doesn't get suctioned when he needs it then it's hard for him to breathe.
The ER nurse said they couldn't help me and asked me if I had been to a medical supply store. Do you know of any that are open on Thanksgiving? Exactly. Finally I told them I was a nurse and that I wanted to talk to the house supervisor. That scared them and then I told them they could either give me the suction canister now or I could bring my dad here in a couple hours when he can't breathe and they can deal with it then. They finally gave me the canister and Dad was ok for the rest of the day. Don't mess with me when it comes to my Dad...I will get my way.
The best part of Thanksgiving was the lemon meringue pie and peach custard pies I made from scratch. Sorry to all you pumpkin pie lovers out there. I can't seem to choke that stuff down.

Moving to Murrieta
In the middle of October we moved from Redondo Beach to Murrieta. It was hard to leave such good friends and such an awesome ward. Matt had just been called to be 2nd counselor in the bishopric a couple of months before we moved. We actually found out we got the house the same day Matt got called.
We've been in our new home for about 2 months and it still seems like a dream. We came from 800 sq ft to 2700 sq ft. I don't have to do my laundry in the kitchen anymore. The lights actually turn on when you flip the light switch. We now have 3 bathroom instead of one and the best part is that we finally have a backyard! We truly feel like we are living in luxury.
The girls are adjusting well. They love living close to their cousins and it's so fun to be in the same ward as my brother and sister. We are so excited to be in our new house!!!
