I take pride in being a trainer and in the horses that are entrusted to my care. Their health and safety is my first priority. The RMTC has been central to improving standards for therapeutic medications, protocols for laboratory testing, and methods for detecting and preventing the use of illegal drugs. I support the RMTC as it continues to bring positive and constructive change to the sport that has given me so much and I look forward to racing’s return to prominence as the Sport of Kings.

I have been involved with the Racing Medication and Testing Consortium from its beginning. As a committee member, I have enjoyed sitting alongside key stake holders in the racing industry who offer a wealth of knowledge when dealing with important issues. The collaborative effort to provide science-based information that ensures both the integrity of the competition and guards the welfare of the horse is of paramount importance to our industry. Looking back, the accomplishments of the RMTC have been tremendous, and I look forward to addressing the challenging issues that we may face in the future.

It’s easy for us all to talk about medication reform, it's far more difficult to put the talk into action. The RMTC is getting it done through science, common sense, and a commitment to making a level playing field. The reputation of the North American thoroughbred has been damaged by the perception that horses are over-medicated. As somebody who represents clients across the world, I believe it is vital that we all support RMTC’s work in order to restore and then maintain the integrity of American racing.
