Halloween 2010

So I know I keep saying holidays are so much more fun with kids. Well that goes for this Halloween. It was so much fun with Jaeley. She was a lion and man, she was the cutest lion ever. We had been practicing wearing her costume all October so that she would want to wear it on Halloween. Well, we had to bribe her with candy to put it on, but once she got it on she loved it. To start out the day we headed over to Foothill Village and went trick-or-treating to all the stores. By about the second store, Jaeley knew exactly what was going on and proceeded to run (well little kid running) from store to store saying eeet eeet (trick-or-treat). Everybody kept commenting on how cute she was, but they thought she was a boy, oh well, what do you do. After that we came back to our house, got ready and went to a friend's house for dinner. After that we went back out to trick-or-treat. It started pouring so our night got cut short, but we still had so much fun. I think it will just get more fun from here on out, and I can't wait!

Here are some of Jaeley's friends. We all went trick or treating together

A week before Halloween, we had a party with some of our friends (Some of Rhett's mission companions and their wives). We got together and carved pumpkins and had dinner. We had a lot of fun.

Later on that week we had another party with some other friends but we didn't get any pictures. Rhett and I were Tarzan and Jane and Jaeley was her cute little lion. Halloween was definitely a hit this year.

Denver

Jaeley and I had the opportunity to go to Denver and visit the Bradshaws. Andrea and Jeremy had to go to a work retreat so I went for the weekend and babysat their kids. Jaeley had fun playing with her cousins and I had fun visiting with Andrea and Jeremy. Having 5 kids for the weekend was kind of hard but fun, but I don't think they will call me their favorite aunt anytime soon. Hopefully they will forgive me for making them follow the rules.

Circus, Temple, Zoo, and Family

Holly, Anthony and the kids came up to visit. We had a lot of fun doing a lot of things. Anthony had to work up here so Holly and I took the kids and went to the zoo. We had a fun looking at all the animals. The next day we all went to Temple Square and then to the circus. I haven't ever been to the circus and I thought it was amazing. I can't believe all the weird and cool stuff people can do these days, but it sure was exciting. I think Jaeley had fun too. Thanks Holly and Anthony for coming to visit.

Welcome Home Elder Anderson

My brother came home from his mission on September 9. It was so exciting to see him. All my family was home and we were all together again, it was so fun. The day started out with going to the stockshow to watch Brian show his lamb, then we headed to Laurie and Ladd's house to make the sign and get ready to go get Brad. We then found out that his plane was delayed for an hour so we headed to the park so the kids could get out some energy. Finally we went to the airport it get Brad. We had fun waiting for him but I don't think anybody else in the airport had fun with us there, but I think they understood. Finally his plane landed and they let him off very first. It was so fun to watch him walk off the plane. We could definitely tell that he had grown up. Once he came in the airport doors we was smothered by people. He had to meet five new nieces and nephews, and pretty much remeet the rest of the family. We had all the nieces and nephews wear shirts with their names on them so it was easier for Brad to know who they were. The funny thing was that Brad really did use the shirts to help him. After we took pictures and settled down we headed back to Beaver for a BBQ. We had a lot of fun and are so happy that Brad served a successful mission and is home.

Here is Brad with all the grandkids. It isn't a very good picture because all the kids wouldn't cooperate, but what do you expect when you have 12 kids under the age of 6.

Summer 2010

This summer has been really fun but really busy. Rhett was out of school but he did research so he was still busy, but he was still able to do quite a bit with me and Jaeley. We did a lot of fun things this summer. We went swimming, hung out with family, played outside, went to the zoo a lot of times, went on walks, had BBQs and a lot of other fun things. One of the things that I really enjoyed this summer was walking down to the garden with Jaeley to pick tomatoes. She loves tomatoes and would usually eat all of them by the time we got back to the house. Here is a lot of random pictures showing some of the things we did this summer. I realize now that I didn't take a lot of pictures and wish I would have taken more.

These first two pictures are of Rhett and some of his friend. He was able to go on a really big hike with his friends. He said that he will never go on that hike again, but he did have fun.

Here are some more friends. We went and shot clay pigeons then went back to a friends house and went swimming and had a BBQ.

First time trying to put curlers in Jaeley's hair. It didn't work out too well. I guess her hair isn't long enough.

24 of July

I love the 24 of July. This year we went to Beaver, of course. We had a lot of fun. Jaeley is getting to the age when she can do things. We started out the day by going to the parade. We had a lot of fun watching the parade and getting the candy. After the parade we went down to the park to run in the races. I didn't get any pictures of the races but Jaeley did really good. She was one of the younger one year olds but she did really good. I was proud of her. We then went to grandma and grandpa Anderson's to have a BBQ, and play games. Later that night we went to Lance and Jamie's and had another BBQ and watched fireworks. We had a really good day.

So Cute!

Our friends were house sitting for a family and invited us over for a BBQ. We went and had a great time. This family had a dog and Jaeley loved it. She was a little nervous at first because the dog was pretty big, but by the end of the night they were great friends. They even decided that they wanted to eat together.

I thought this was so cute, I couldn't help taking a picture. She had water all over her face, but she didn't seem to mind.
