Family Pictures

We got our family pictures taken at The Peace Gardens. Rob proposed to me there almost 10 years ago and this is the first time we've been back since. It was really fun to be back there and see how far we have come since that cold day back in November 1999. My kids actually did really well and we love these pictures. If you want a great photographer, Holly is the best. I will be adding her blog to my friends and family so check it out.

Rob and I got to go on a little trip to Vegas without the kids. It was really nice. We just relaxed alot by the pool and went shopping and worked out together and just had some good quality time together. Here are some pics of us having fun.

Swimming with cousins

Shari called us while we were tearing down the deck and asked us if we wanted to go swimming at Grandma Parramore's and so of course we jumped in the car and met her there. The kids had so much fun and it was a great afternoon. I'm so happy she called!

Deck demolition

Our deck was made very poorly and we haven't liked it because we are up so high that we are on display for our neighbors so we decided to tear it down. This is the before picture.

Soccer

We decided to put the girls in soccer. I always though all my girls would do was dance or cheer or gymnastics but we wanted to try this to see how they do. Can I just tell you, I LOVE IT! They are so cute in their little uniforms. Katelyn is at an age where alot of the kids just stand around holding hands or being very easily distracted. But it is entertaining. Katelyn stands and picks at her fingers or runs for a minute and then comes to get a drink because her legs are tired. She is quite funny and then there's Kirah. She is a little go getter. She has been scoring lots of points and she's an aggressive little thing. She sure has surprised us in a good way. She is so fun to watch and yes you do see matching bows because hey I am still a girl mom. Call me crazy but I think they are cute.

Parade

Every year my mom and I take the kids to the West Jordan Parade. This year Kim and the kids came. It was really fun!

Morphed animal project

Kindergarten has a morphed animal project that they do at the end of the year. You pick two animals from different animal class and dress up as that animal and then you tell three facts about your animal. Kirah was a liobee. Half lion and half bee. Everyone was so creative and cute. They put on a little program and sang songs. It was so cute. Then they graduated from Kindergarten. My baby is growing up too fast.

Kirah lost her 1st tooth!

Kirah's tooth had been really wiggly for a long time and she wouldn't let us touch it. She could complain that it hurt to eat and finally it got to the point that Rob and I were about to hold her down and rip it out. So she let me try one time and the second I got in her mouth, she pulled away. Finally at dinner, Rob asked to see it and he hurried and put his finger in and pulled down. Kirah jumped and Rob told her he thought he got it. She opened her mouth and there it was sitting on her tongue. She was so excited that she jumped up to show everyone and she left it on the table in front of Aunt Melissa. But I didn't know that. We had rice with dinner and some got on the table. Her tooth must have blended in because I cleaned off the table and did the dishes. Then we realized that I had thrown her tooth away! MOM OF THE YEAR! She was worried that the Tooth Fairy wouldn't come. So yes, like a good mother, I started digging through the garbage but I could not find that dang tooth. So Kirah wrote a note to the Tooth Fairy to put under her pillow.

Family Reunion

We have our family reunion at the same time every year. It is always alot of fun because we get together and catch up, eat and have foot races for each age group. This year it was in Orem. We got the little kids up in the tree for a picture. I always remember climbing trees when I was little and how much I loved it.
