Kian's first crush

I just had to post this hilarious outfit Kian put together earlier this winter. Another funny thing--he asked me in the car the other day if I ever used to like boys when I was in school. I told him yes. He said he liked a girl at school because "she was the best at chasing him." So cute.

BYU Basketball

We've been to almost every BYU basketball game this season. Kian has been playing with Jeff outside and really likes cheering on the team and watching the point guards carefully.


Darian and I enjoy dancing to the music they play and watching Cosmo and the cougarettes. And Jeff enjoys the game.

Robaran vs. Bybaran Bowling Match

The kids liked bowling but we only got through 7 frames and we discovered that the kids hated not winning


Lulu came in 3rd place (after Jared)..Naturally I came in first place

Trick or Treating

This was Darian's first year where he really understood trick or treating. He was a trooper and did it for about two hours. At the end he said, "mom can you just go get candy for me"? I wish I still could Darian, but I'll just stick with eating all the rejected chocolate candy that you don't like or don't notice missing.








I coached Kian and Daniel on some cardinal trick or treating rules, including looking for lights on, apartment buildings are high yield and you don't stop until a pillowcase is full of candy.

Picture day

Kian and I practiced for picture day this year.





We went with this one.

Kian also said something so sweet yesterday. He said, mom I don't want you to have another baby. I said, why Kian? He said because it will make you sad. So he and kian had been looking at their scrapbooks and saw angry pictures of me in labor.

Riding our bikes to 7-11 and other regular summer activities

Kian got a coupon for a free slurpee at 7-11 on 200 west and after the fourth of July reminded me of this daily. Finally gave in and we decided to ride our bikes to 7-11 to get the slurpees.



It was a hot day and the slurpees were great.


Riding back home was a bit traumatic as my bike had a flat tire, Darian's "legs hurt" and Kian said he never wanted to ride his bike again by the time we got home. I also scarred the boys by taking them cross country skiing this winter but I'm hoping I don't kill all fun activities for them before they grow up.



Another regular summer activity has been taking walks with our cousins, Cyra and Lulu.

Newport Coast Aquarium Oregon

Walking to the Aquarium





We brought darian's stroller since he loves it.



We saw crabs--big ones


We touched sea creatures and


Best of all we saw sharks








And my personal favorite: stingrays





Kian took great pictures of us















And we saw them feed the sea otters and when we played in the hot tub later we pretended to be sea otters.
