Mason's 2!!

Mason's birthday was on Jan 14th and we celebrated with cars. Mason is totally hooked on anything with wheels, trains, cars, trucks, etc. So I made a tractor cake, I love it. Mason Jar you were pretty easy to come out, you came into this world in 3 pushes and the poor lady next door to us in the hospital pushed for 2 hours. You've been our smallest baby but your personality proves otherwise. You've grown up and changed so much since the day you were born. We love you Mason!!

Garrett's 6!!

A little behind, better late then never. But that wasn't the case on Jan 12, 2006. You came right on time so daddy could be there with us. You took you sweet time coming out though, 16 hours of labor. Isn't labor supposed to get easier after the first kid? You didn't want to come, I pushed and pushed and finally the doctors had to use forceps to pull you out. You were the messiest baby I've ever seen but have been my most tender hearted boy.

Garrett's birthday was on Thursday but his Pirate party was on Saturday. On Thursday I took the kids out of school early and took them to go see Happy Feet 2 at the dollar theater. He opened his presents that night when Dad got home from work. We saved his cake for his party.

For his party we had a Pirate themed party. Garrett and his friends dressed up like pirates, had sword fights, played a map game, and had a treasure hunt. They ate cannon balls (watermelon and cantalope balls), pirates bootie (white cheddar popcorn), fish crackers, and chicken drumsticks. We made homemade rootbeer which the kids loved the dry ice all over. We play pirate music and danced around. His cake was a "blood" cake (red velvet). He had a great time. Happy Birthday Buddy Garrett. We love you and are so excited that you are in our family.
