Accessible Aviation Consulting & Training
Accessible Aviation Consulting
I am an experienced worldwide traveller, aviation geek and learned to fly during a scholarship in 2012. I work as an accessible aviation consultant and disability equity workshop author and trainer at multiple events, including the DfT, CAA, IATA and many global brand names, and have had many accessible aviation articles published by industry leaders.
I provide confidential consultancy on the passenger experience for on-board accessible toilets, aisle chairs, lifting devices, airline seating, airport and lounge design for leading names in aviation. I consult on training and process standards for airlines and airports. I believe in choice, dignity and opportunity in travel for Disabled people.
I advocate for Flying Disabled, who have pioneered the Wheelchair In The Cabin solution, Air 4 All, a system that aims to revolutionise air travel for passengers with reduced mobility (PRM) by enabling powered wheelchair users to remain in their own wheelchair for the entire journey, ensuring dignity and safety. I work alongside Gearup TV and the UK Chapter of Women in Aviation to promote inclusion, diversity and STEM in business and aviation. I am on the Royal Air Force Museum Access Advisory Group in London and the British Standards Institute panel for wheelchairs to ensure wheelchair safety standards are equitable.
Accessible Aviation Training
Disability Equity in Aviation: A Transformative Workshop for Aviation Professionals
Unlock Inclusive Excellence in Aviation In today’s world, providing an inclusive, accessible travel experience isn't just a nice-to-have, it's a priority. The Disability Equity for Aviation workshop is designed to give aviation staff the knowledge and confidence they need to enhance the passenger experience for all, including Disabled travellers. Through this highly interactive and engaging course, you’ll learn how to provide services that meet regulatory requirements while offering support rooted in respect, dignity, and safety.
This isn't just about compliance - it's about creating a travel environment where every passenger feels valued, and you’ll be ready to lead that change.
Empower Your Teams with Confidence This workshop is about more than information - it's about action. Attendees will leave equipped to lead their teams in offering proactive, individual support to disabled travellers, ensuring every passenger interaction is handled with empathy, care, and professionalism.
You’ll be trained by industry-leading experts who’ve walked/rolled in the shoes of those they serve.
Meet Your Trainers Mary Doyle (she/her), an inclusion consultant and wheelchair user, combines her professional expertise with her personal experiences to bring accessibility to life. With her wide global travel knowledge, she’s on a mission to make aviation more inclusive for everyone.
Geraldine Lundy MBE, formerly Virgin Atlantic’s Passenger Accessibility Manager, brings decades of experience and a deep connection to the disability community. Her work continues to shape the way airlines, airports, and regulators serve disabled passengers worldwide.
Who Should Attend If you’re a manager, supervisor, or customer-facing staff member in the aviation industry, this workshop is for you. Whether you're responsible for service planning or directly engaging with passengers, this course will help you stay ahead of the curve in a COVID world and beyond.
What You’ll Learn Our expert trainers will guide you through:
- Understanding disability from both historical and social perspectives.
- Seeing disability as a human rights issue, not just a regulatory requirement.
- Your legal responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010, aviation regulations, Regulation (EC) No 1107/2006 and 14 CFR Part 382, and more.
- Recognising and addressing discriminatory practices.
- How to best serve people; with mobility devices, non-visible disabilities, blindness and visual impairments, deafness, neurodivergent people, people with facial or limb differences, speech difficulties and learning disabilities.
- Confidently using inclusive language and removing the barriers that limit the disabled community’s ability to fully participate in travel.
Interactive, Engaging, and Impactful This isn’t a typical training where you sit and listen. We believe in learning through doing, with real-life discussions, video content, and online activities. You’ll participate in open, honest conversations that encourage and empower you to bring meaningful change to your work.
Flexible Online Learning Our course is delivered in three dynamic 3-hour online sessions, designed to fit seamlessly into your schedule. Each session includes introductions, interactive activities, engaging discussions, and meaningful takeaways. These three sessions could take place over three mornings, or maybe 1.5 days, we can discuss what rhythm best suits your calendars. To conclude the training, a short online assessment helps reinforce what you’ve learned.

Online Executive Coaching
I offer 25+ years of experience in software and telecoms as a female service delivery leader following programming and technical support roles. My teams have supported the electronic payments systems of many of the world’s largest banks.
I have decades of lived experience as a wheelchair user and use this opportunity to normalise disability in business, promoting awareness and inclusion. This allows me to offer very distinct and different perspectives to my clients, allowing people to look at alternative solutions. I coach disabled and non-disabled people.
I managed global teams across all regions and cultures through 24/7/365 customer support and delivery challenges and led teams through the full staff life cycle and multiple company acquisitions. In 2017, I completed my professional coach training to help people (especially those with a disability or unconventional/marginalised background) navigate work and life. I am committed to my Continuous Professional Development and have studied how to best support people with trauma.
I will work as your coach to listen well, ask powerful questions with compassion, be an accountability partner, and facilitate learning to empower. I take my work very seriously and am also a big believer in playfulness and humour. Coaching is not mentoring, consulting or training. It is creating an environment for learning, self-awareness and self-improvement. My coaching approach is person-centred, humanistic and with positive regard for my clients. You are the best expert in your own life and I will support you in your choices. This is a partnership, the coach and client are equal. I enjoy working with professionals to be their authentic self in a society that often is not inclusive or open-minded.
