I am married and would be considered an "older Elijah Wood fan" as I have adult children, my oldest is almost Elijah's exact age. I am a long-time fan of the LOTR books and the Hobbit is up there too. I fell in love with Pete Jackson for bringing my favorite books to life on the screen and will always be grateful to him for his courage and vision. I didn't know of any actors work other than Sean Astin (Rudy) prior to LOTR but became interested in them after seeing the movies on the DVD and commentaries and follow their careers as much as I'm able. I am a member of the Always & Forever EW community.

My only other Sci-fic fascination involved the original Star Wars franchise & for a time, I followed those actors as much as possible but without the computer assistance, it was quite difficult/impossible.

I wasn't certain I needed a journal as I'm not a writer but have toyed with the idea of becoming one. I enjoy reading various types of fiction, including RPS and FPS as well as other stories.

I love my family, detest housework, enjoy reading books, playing cards, cooking and "creating" new dishes.

I love all things Lord of the Rings books and of course movies. I first saw FOTR a couple of months after it's release on the big screen. I hadn't followed the hysteria surrounding it's release, totally missed the developing fandom until the time of the release of the TTT.
