New Baby
Carson David Giles
6-28-09

21 in. 7lbs. 14oz.
Meet the newest addition to our family. Isn't he adorable? Carson came 3 weeks early. I had my doctors appointment on Tuesday and my water broke on Wednesday-although I didn't realize it was broken. I had been leaking fluid but didn't think much of it- i thought it might be urine or something. By Saturday it had gotten worse so I called my doctor and I was told to go to the hospital. I had him late that night. We are so blessed to have him in our family. He is by far my easiest baby. Both of the kids adore him. Iris was a bit confused at first but has since fallen in love with him. We have very sweet children!

Hello from AZ
We've been in AZ for almost 2 weeks. It feels a lot longer. But that's probably because Bryson is not with us- it's hard being away from each other. It's been especially hard for Noah. He asks about him every day and will get emotional at times. We do get to chat with him and the kids get really excited to see him. Fortunately we've had a lot of distractions. The weather has been beautiful so we've spent a lot of time outdoors and in water.
First swim of the summer. Both kids are starting swim lessons this week. We're really excited!
We went to an easter egg hunt at my friends ward and it was awesome. The main focus was Christ. We walked in a parade where we waved palm leaves and shouted Hosanna in celebration of Christ's entry into Jerusalem. Then we walked through his "tomb" where there were beautiful paintings portraying the resurrection and a beautiful hymn playing in the background. After that we watched an awesome slide show of His life. The spirit was so strong! Noah kept talking about how beautiful Jesus is. We finished with an egg hunt in the chapel since it was pouring outside. It was an awesome experience. Thanks Ruthie!

Family of Superheroes
Conversation between Noah and Daddy
Noah: Iris is a superhero.
Daddy: What's her super power?
Noah: She can run really really fast.
Daddy: Are you a superhero?
Noah: Yep.
Daddy: What's your super power?
Noah: I run really really fast too.
Daddy: What's my super power?
Noah: You dig a shovel up to the sky really strong.
Daddy: Oh yeah? And what's mamas super power?
Noah: The power to walk really slowly.
Nice!

Noah's 3rd
Noah got really sick the night before his birthday. He was up all night vomiting. It was both sad and disgusting. So naturally we had to cancel his little party and instead he spent all morning at the doctors office. He cheered up a bit later in the day when we sang happy birthday and opened presents. He wasn't allowed to have any solids so I made a jello "cake". He thought it was really funny when I stuck the candle in the jello.
He was such a good sport
