Welcome to Rose Hack 2022!
Rose Hack 2022 is UCR's women-centric hackathon where students from all backgrounds are celebrated. Hundreds of participants form teams and build a project over the event's 24 hour duration.
Rose Hack is beginner friendly and welcomes all participants to learn, develop, and hone their skills. Have you ever wanted to learn how to build something, but didn't know where to start? We will provide everything you need from swag, mentoring, and a diverse range of workshops to help you level up your hacking experience.

Requirements
Please refer to the MLH Code of Conduct for our rules. Attendees found breaking these rules may be subject to dismissal from the event.
Everyone on your team must have been accepted in order to be eligible for prizes.
Work on a project must start no earlier than 12:00 pm PDT Saturday, January 15th.
Work on a project must end at 12:00 pm PDT on Sunday, January 16th.
Projects from past hackathons/projects cannot be reused.
Please comply with all instructions from Rose Hack organizers.
Rose Hack reserves the right to disqualify any projects that do not follow competition rules.

Beginner Hack
For your hack to qualify as a Beginner Hack, Rose Hack must be the first hackathon a majority of your team has attended (ex. 3 of 4, or 2 of 3) -
Women Centric Hack
Your project must empower, celebrate, and/or support women in some shape or form. -
UI/UX
The project has a clean and easy-to-use interface built with a user in mind. Overall design and clarity will be considered. -
Game Hack
The project must be a playable game. Projects will generally be judged based on overall game design and implementation. -
Sustainability Hack
This project must inspire sustainability in some shape or form, and it should aim to create some kind of positive impact on the environment. -
