Happy Halloween

We have had a fun time dressing up. Actually Matty and I like it about as much as the kids. I actually had fun trying to make our costumes this year. I am just learning but it is so fun. We went to a trunk or treat and Carnival at the church on Friday and got ready to go trick or treating on Saturday but Keatyn was sick and Taylek was getting that way too, but none the less it was fun to dress up and pass out candy to all the cute ghosts and goblins on the street. The rain made it hard this year, there were not quite as many as we are used to. Happy Halloween.

Happy Birthday Keatyn Rose

My Keatyn Rose is One!! I cannot believe it. She is so busy and full of life. September 14, 2009 she came into our lives. Really??? Really??? is she one already? It cannot be. She started walking a few days before her birthday and has been running since. She loves to climb the stairs (ever since she was 5 months), call for daddy, give open mouth kisses, wiggle in my arms, play with Taylek, and she HATES to be tied down, locked in a seat belt, high chair or held. She loves to be FREE! She has places to go and people to see and does not want mommy trying to cramp her style. She has beautiful blue eyes and edible chubby thighs. I love this little lady. She is so special to us. Heavenly Father often shows us love through our children. I certainly feel His love through her. She is so close to her Heavenly Father and so innocent. I wish I could keep her that way forever. I will do my best to teach her and protect her. I love her I love her I love her!! Baby Keatyn Rose you will always be my little girl (even if heaven forbid some little boy tries to call you his). I will always be here for you!

Happy 4th of July

What a blessing it is to live in this Country. I love this Land. I am grateful for My dad, my sweet husband and many other brave men and women for helping to fight for our freedom. I am grateful to raise my children in this land.

Arches Campout

This summer we went camping in the Arches and visited Canyonlands. It was a lot of fun. we took just our family and Josh too, since he was staying with us. it was real HOT during the day and lots of bugs everywhere. I was not the best dutch oven cook (actually I stunk it up). But we had fun. We got a flat tire and had to ride about an hour and a half into Greenriver, get it fixed and drive back to our campground. We went on some fun hikes. It was beautiful. We saw lots of lizards and little bugs. Taylek fell on a cactus and I had to pick out all the prickles, it made me so sad. It took about 20min to get all the prickles out. It was nice to be out amoung our Heavenly Fathers creations. I love this Earth.

Graduate School Graduation

I am so proud of Matty. On May 29Th 2010 he graduated from graduate school at Westminster with his Masters of Arts in Education degree. This has been a long road for him and our family. We are so proud of him for this huge accomplishment. He is such a great role model to this kids and I. Wow we hardly knew what we would do with all the extra time he would have when not going to school part time and working full time. But somehow we still manage to stay busy. I love Mr. Matty (that is what his students call him) he is a great husband, father and teacher!!
