Dark Angels Scout with camo cloak

Wow, ok, so apparently it's been 4 years since my last post... Probably nobody visits this blog anymore but hey, it might be worth it again, because the new range of Dark Imperium nurgles got my painting juices flowing again :D

Sooo, I ordered those glorious models and am actually about to go pick them up in a sec, BUT, in the meantime, while waiting, I picked up something from the box, to kill the time. Those scouts were there, primed black and ready for action. They were supposed to be painted in 2013 but yea, it never happened back then.

Dark Eldar Talos

As announced in my previous post, the Talos Pain Engine is born. This is the first model in my up and comming Dark Eldar army. Since I decided to go all out with this guy, I thought that it would be a good idea to write up a detailed WIP description and attach some progress pics as well.

Dark Angels Drop Pod

After much longer than I would have liked, the drop pod is complete. It is a very simple kit, yet I did have some serious design decisions, that I will go over in the full story.

This AOBR dreadnought, has been sitting in my closet for over a year now. I wanted to wait with painting until I figured out a way to put him in my army list. Once I figured out, that I want to run a dual autocannon wielding badass it got really simple, really fast :)

Sammael, Grand Master of the Ravenwing

This is probably one of my favorite models. I've been meaning to paint him for quite a while but was put off by the whole failcast thing. Finally, I accumulated enough zen to sit down and bite through the fail sculpt. I tried my best to bring him to life, as he deserves, but one can only do so much.

Since we're at the dawn of the end of the world, I've decided to shake things up a bit on the blog and instead of pumping out the usual chaos abominations, put up something from a completely different universe.

I hereby present you yet another mischievous creature spawned at the everpumping Rotforge :) After having finished the cultists, I set myself a goal to paint this guy up within 3 evenings, to make deadline before Pandas hit tonight. It's nice to set and achieve goals. I should definitely do this more often to speed up my painting projects.

Once again, I've fallen victim to the "painting a whole unit at once" stigma so it took a long while to complete but it's finally done and here is the end result:

Urban barricades

In preparation for building a full-scale 6' X 4' table, I've decided to paint up some terrain, but such terrain that could also be easily transported outside of my lair and one, that would be very universal. I've always liked the look of the urban barricades so the choice was obvious. Here we go!

6th edition, gamers edition unboxing!
