After releasing two singles ("The Crown" and "Leave a Light on") Royal Glam felt the need to release something a bit more juicier, a bit more substantial. The band vigorously road tested the material that would make up Shields Ain't Gunna Save Ya all over the UK before entering the studio. The completion of basic tracking in the studio also marked the departure of bass player F-ROG. It was out of this chaos and fire that Shields Ain't Gunna Save Ya was forged. This release sees the boyz fully embrace their heavier side on tracks such as Fast Dragon whilst also at their sleeziest with Party All Day.
