Now showing records from 2021-2025

Jon Gillespie
I made a variety of instrumentals in several different styles. It was made with some care, but also made quickly. It's special to me as I feel it has some good ideas expressed well, and I was able to complete it despite being really pressed for time.

Executive Producer
I made an album. I made it using Garageband and a Martin acoustic and a shitty mic. I made it for me.

Fairchord & Fixer
I wanted to try and make a record mostly on my phone. All the music was made on my iPhone using the Endlesss app and then I recorded vocals over it and mixed it in Ableton. I wanted to do something on instinct - working fast and writing in a stream-of-consciousness way - trying to get away from the idea of perfection and make stuff that just feels right. It was a cool experience and I like the result.

Go Round, Mary
Zebra-1 is a collaboration from 2 very different artists, lending to the eclectic blend of genres. Myself (Stacy Todd) and Steve Fortin (my bandmate) have been doing music together for about 4 years. We have collaborated on many songs but this is our 3rd official RPM album together. It was made in GarageBand for iPad, but then mixed afterward in Logic. The album art was done by my son, Gavin Craig. I handed him the concept and he really ran with it. This is my favorite album cover so far.

catfingers
I made this for myself and whoever might want to listen. Take from it what you can, there's the message.

EFSPACM
we have an online platform where we send and share music release it once a month around certain topics ,this time rpm was the topic we work to create a alternative music scene around underground genres.

WARU
I made a broken beat EP for people to dance to! I started from making a lot of jams/loops, and selected the ones with the most potential to turn into full tracks.
Demising Faith
I wanted to make a song inspired by some stuff I've been reading about Existential Psychoterapy. I made it in two days with the Linnstrument and Bitwig, my two main tools in music production. Lyrics are in portuguese.
Tim Carroll
Instrumental alternative rock song. First full recording I've made in years. Started with guitars trying to make something with a different feel and it evolved into something completely different.
Hokey
Hooked up a bunch of controllers to the Ipad and made things better than last time. I made it for me. Improving on performance.
Madame Sicko
I diddled around with my guitar and my synth on the ol' garageband. Inspired by music from Manchester and professional wrestling.
matieto
falling into music-induced trance states, improvising on guitar or machines or synth and things
Jon Gillespie
I made a five song EP on a computer with software. I made it for me and for other people to enjoy.
Girl Named Sam
A skin 'n bones draft for an upcoming comic called "Chance McGavin and the Black Lung Queen"
Two Hippopotamus
This track is the result of a very sweaty, hypercaffeinated jam recording in a very smelly dungeon in Wellington. Almost straight after the recording, half of the duo moved to Canada. We've been diligently sharing our music and feelings ever since. This track is special because it symbolises the undying bromance between two hippos and the promise of future music and feelings.
Sean Lebrun
This was a collaboration with some friends. We took a song that had all the bones and just needed the dressing. I love the result.
Charlotte Genest
I just picked up the guitar over the pandemic (!) and this RPM is the result of my partner lending me their loop pedal haha. Just a compilation of some of my highly random creations.
Spice Rack Collective
A few folks had some song ideas kicking around at the beginning of February, so just shy of a dozen of us got together in the studio (the lovely room in the cover image, where our band rehearses) each Saturday and a couple of other nights throughout the month and fleshed out the ideas into this collection. Ended up with a country song, some rock, a couple of ballads, and a couple of endearing oddities.
JC
8 tracks that could be loosely considered a concept album (at least in MY head). Written, performed, recorded , & produced by myself in JC Studios. Enjoy!
Buku X dV
We decided to remix pieces of each other’s work and put them together to make something for RPM. Due to unforeseen circumstances we managed only this one track so far, which is basically an unfinished draft, so the collaboration is still ongoing. Beat(s) by both of us, vox by Buku(panda)
Distinct Kicking Motion
I set out to make an instrumental EP but I wasn't sure where to go... but then I remembered I own an 8-string guitar.
Sunil K Chopra
I made an album with Ardour on Linux. I made it for my own sanity. And to hopefully crystallize ideas for other people..
Reconsider
I've...had a lot of filler material on past RPM submissions, along with a few half-baked ideas, and maybe 2 or at most 3 complete song ideas. This one feels like the closest I've gotten to an album full of actual songs...more like song demos, really. But each track has a lot of lyrics, and I didn't really stretch anything out, as I've done in the past. Kind of a lean and mean, "hey, here's what I'm thinking right now" kind of approach. Really proud of the fact I've got ten songs with full-ish lyrical content, some of which isn't half bad!
