Purples, Plums, Violets and Lilacs...

Whenever I want to wear color in the spring I find myself always reaching for purple. Purple is one of those colors where nearly every shade is wearable; rich plums and violets look rich and romantic while lavenders and lilacs look sweet and feminine. So here are some of my favorite purples this season.

The styling in these purple looks are incredible, from simple lines of gowns, to sweet and more detailed cuts for florals and eyelets. I love how even a dark shade of dark purple make you look colorful, and how purple doesn't require so many accessories.

Fab Editorial: Simple Dresses - Bianca Balti for Blanco

The Spring 2011 Campaign for Blanco featuring Bianca Balti proves that even the simplest dress can look incredible with proper styling. I love the use of colorful hoop and chandelier earrings, bracelets, bangles, and belts, and of course Bianca's gorgeous waves.

 The reason these looks are so gorgeous despite their simple cuts is because they are all fitted properly. Make sure when you buy any dress, cheap or expensive that it fits you properly. Look at yourself from every angle and make sure you like what you see. If it doesn't fit properly, take it to a tailor for alterations: it hardly costs anything and your dress will fit you like a glove. :)

Sundress Eye Candy: Pushing Daisies

For many ladies Carrie Bradshaw is their tv style icon, but for this girl I much rather prefer the gorgeous sundresses of Pushing Daisies- a witty, storybook like show that used to be on abc (never fear it's on netflix instant watch). Few other things give me more pleasure than wearing a sundress on a spring or summer day.
