We have developed a slow-release bolus reducing cattle’s methane emissions by over 90% and we have demonstrated sustained methane knockdown for over 3 months. Until now, there has been no scalable and impactful solution to the emissions from pasture-based livestock which make up over 80% of the global herd and the vast majority of emissions. With over a billion cattle worldwide, the solution is scalable, economical, and empowers farmers to cut emissions while continuing to feed a growing population with nutrient dense food.

By 2035, we aim to have 100 million cows around the world using our bolus that’s the equivalent of removing 50 million family-sized vehicles off the road for a year.
As of now, Ruminant Biotech has the only solution ready for market with the ability to address both pasture-based and more intensively farmed cattle’s methane at scale and with high impact. The longevity of action of our bolus at 90+ days allows it to slot into low intervention grazing systems with ease. The 70% methane knockdown is world leading, with nothing even remotely close to this level and duration of effect from just one application.
