Got Grass?

Image

We do, we do. Everyone is so excited to have a beautiful green front yard. One of the very few things I missed when we moved was the grass. Now we have even more beautiful grass than we had before. The kids played in the dirt the night before we laid the sod and had so much fun. I almost felt guilty covering it with grass... but they play just as much if not more in the grass... especially when the sprinklers are on.

Summer is so much fun! I love laying in bed with three little monkeys watching Curious George until 9:00 in the morning. I love the freedom to do what we want, when we want. I had a strict scheduel we followed the first couple weeks of summer. We ran every morning, read, did homework and worked on a fun project everyday. It has been harder than I though to keep up on it. I am still trying to get into the grove of things.

Don took the kids fishing this weekend... so much fun! Bodie took off screaming the fish he reeled in. I have a ton more projects planned but for now I am still loving the freedom of doing what ever we want or not.

I have been trying simple bento lunches for the kids. They have loved them and I find they eat more of their veggies. Check them out on flikr or google it.

10 Years

Image
Loved you once, love you still
Always have, always will!

Who are these two? Can you believe it has been ten years?! Happy Anniversary, Babe! So much has happened. Three babies, three houses, three career changes... hmmm... all factors of 9. I read a report on Yahoo News that was trying to explain the craze of 9/9/09, and why it is so special. Despite the fact that another set of repeating-single digits that we will for almost another century, many cultures anticipate September 9th, for luck. It is associated with along life, forgiveness, compassion and success. Ah, a few negatives are also associated like self-righteousness, arrogance and a day of ominous warning. I prefer the positive beliefs!
Ten years ago on 9/9/99 at 9:00 in the morning we were sealed in the Oakland temple and embarked on our Journey to a Happily Forever After!

I know I am behind the times, but I am excited to get going on this new adventure! I have really enjoyed being able to stay at home with my kids. It has been a learning experience for everyone. I only wish I had done more to document our adventures. This blog is to serve just that purpose. Enjoy!
