C.S. Theme and Variations

My mom and I learned this duet so that we could play it together when I went out to Maryland.  It was sooo much fun playing with her.  I couldn't get enough of it!  (Especially on her beautiful Grand Piano)  I am so grateful that my mom made me learn the piano.  Thank you Mom!

So here you are:  Chopsticks Theme and Variations

Easter Egg Hunt

McKay and I were alone the night before Easter and we decided to color eggs on our own and then hide the eggs in the front room for my parents to find.  We thought the egg hunt would be pretty easy for them because they had been hiding eggs in there for over a decade.  They should know the hiding places right?  Well McKay thought it would be smart to draw a map of where the eggs were just in case they couldn't find them all and we couldn't remember.  I think mom and dad had fun.  I definitely know that McKay and I did.

The calm before the storm.

This egg was the only one that was visible.

But dad didn't find any in the shoe basket....

Ah!  That's because McKay SHOVED them in!  There were TWO in the shoes :)

There we go!  All 25 eggs accounted for.  Mom had one more making her the winner.

And here is our nifty little map

Then we all ate a yummy breakfast of crepes.  Mmmm my personal favorite.  Dad is helping me make them as it is usually his specialty.

You Want More? I'll Give You More!

I can't believe that this is me sitting here and doing another post in less than a week, but here I am.  I know mom already posted a picture of this.  But after all I was there too :)

I thought it would be fun to have a lunch with some old friends from High School.  So this is what we were able to pull together.  It was really fun catching up and finding out what we are all doing with life.  I'm happy to say that we are all doing what we wanted to.  Pretty impressive.

The Biltmore

I was able to fly home for spring break this year.  I had so much fun with my family.  I can't believe it is already over.

While there we took an 8 hour jaunt to North Carolina and visited the Biltmore.  It is the largest home in America and it was pretty impressive.  Here are some photos that I took.

This is the only picture I got of the inside of the mansion.  We were on the top floor looking down the grand staircase.

We went back for a second day to view the gardens.  I think McKay was tired.

What a neat place.  I can't even imagine living there.  The rooms were cosy but there were so many of them.  I would've gotten lost for a while before being able to find my way around.

It was a great trip and I enjoyed going immensely.
