Progress

I would consider this a step in the right direction, wouldn't you?

While he wouldn't sit on or make eye contact with Santa, he did at least sit by him after ten minutes of coaxing. Ho, ho, ho!

Milestones...

We finally had Cason's 2-year pictures done! Whoot, whoot! I knew I wanted to do them outside and this summer has been so unbearably hot, I didn't want to make him miserable in the process. Unfortunately, we did them Sunday morning and it was 50 degrees outside and so windy! Go figure. Anyway, we got some good ones despite the conditions. My cousin Jennifer followed us around Downtown Dallas, and then Downtown Hiram where we found a few good photo spots. She's such a good cousin! Thanks Jen!

We do eskimo kisses...it's kind of our thing.

Putters, pouters & the farm...

Since the kids were out of school a few weeks ago, we decided to take them to a petting zoo. After some extensive research online, mom found this one in Canton called Tanglewood. It was awesome! I love how they had the whole thing set up like an old western town. It was really well thought out; there was a holding area before each exhibit so you wouldn't let the animals out of the gates. The miniature goats were, hands-down, my favorite. I think I've developed an affinity for goats ever since I learned about the fainting goats. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, you must click here. Now, tell me God doesn't have a sense of humor.

This sheep made me smile...I don't know if you would consider that an under-bite or a side-bite?

We also took the little ones to play putt putt. We no more pulled up at Mountasia, paid, walked out to the first hole, and the bottom let out. I mean, sheets of rain. They didn't even get to putt once!

I am really impressed with Cason's driving skills. I took the governor off of his Junior car, and he can weave in and out of the cars and the bushes. He's actually pretty good!

Sand castles & donuts...

We took Cason to Ponte Vedra for a long weekend at the beginning of September. Well, we thought it was going to be a long weekend. He ended up getting really sick and we came back after two days. He had an absolute blast while we were there though!

Here he is digging in the sand after taking a quick cat nap on me...

This was actually Ryan's fish net from when he was little...Cason put a few more miles on it...

He kept calling the waves, "Monster Waves!!!"...

It's vacation, so we eat donuts in bed...

Feeding the fish after dinner...the owner of the restaurant fell in love with Cason. I think he was just nostalgic because his little boy is grown now and he kept telling us over and over again to cherish every moment when they're little. There was about a 30 minute wait to sit down, and he snuck us right in ahead of everyone else, and then he must have given Cason a dozen biscuits to rip up and feed the fish with. He was so sweet!
