This year Logan had 2 different costumes for Halloween. We had bought the scrubs on clearance over the summer and then the week before Halloween he told me he wanted to be a ball player. I know many people who would say to tell him too bad we already have a costume, but he's 4 and really loves sports so we figured why not. We were able to borrow the baseball uniform from our neighbor which was huge so he wore the scrubs to school since they actually fit him and then he wore the baseball uniform trick or treating with uncle Quinton. Other than the fact that the uniform is huge I love that it's a Yankees uniform and he's wearing his Bee's hat- for those of you who don't know the Bee's are one of the minor league teams under the Anaheim Angels.

Fall Break fun in California
At the beginning of October during Fall Break Logan and I were able to go with Papa to California to finally meet Makenna. Logan's first girl cousin and the 3rd grandchild on my side of the family. Papa drove with us and then Grammy and Quinton flew down Friday night after school to be there for the weekend. We had a lot of fun. We went to this awesome Sports Museum, got Sprinkles cupcakes, went to the Irvine Park and OC Zoo.
Papa was so excited to get there and see his first granddaugher for the first time, he is only missing one more grandson Paxton in this picture- Christmas we will be getting one of him with all of them!
Uncle Quinton snuggling Makenna for the first time.
Looking at the horses with Uncle Quinton at Irvine Park.
Selfie on the Train
Since we were there in October they had a pumpkin patch with fun carnival type activities.
Watching the train drive by after eating lunch.
Petting an African Hedgehog.
Measuring up with Uncle Quinton, whom we found out has a 6 foot wingspan.
Logan checking out the goats and sheep with Brandon and Grammy.
In the petting zoo.
The best part was being together Sunday for Makenna's Baby blessing.
Makenna wore the dress that both of my sisters and I wore when we were blessed. I had always hoped to have a baby girl wear it but any baby girl I get will be too big.

Yellowstone
We decided in September to take a quick weekend family trip to Island Park and Yellowstone. Logan has never been up there and I was up there a lot growing up and wanted to take Logan up for his first trip to Yellowstone and be able to stay with my grandparents in their home. We had so much fun and hope to be able to have many more trips up there.
Island Park
We went to Big Springs and were lucky enough to see a few of the big fish. Unfortunalty there are not nearly as many as there used to be. We were able to see some Moose while we were there.
It was so nice to be in Island Park again. It is so beautiful. While talking with my Grandpa one day I learned that he has been going up there since his childhood. I am so grateful that he has shared his love of the area with our family.
Yellowstone
We went on a little hike. We saw beaver dams, but weren't there at the right time of day to see the beavers come out.
I think Logan's favorite part was watching Old Faithful because he asked the second day to again go watch the "Boom" (meaning the eruption), so we did.
We attended a ranger presentation at Old Faithful and got Logan a Jr Ranger badge.
We were lucky to meet kind people who were willing to take pictures for us.
Ryan bought Binoculars in West Yellowstone so that Logan could try to see a Bear. I don't know how he didn't get sick looking through them as we drove. The only bears we ended up seeing were a mom and her 2 cubs who were stuffed and in a case at the Fishing Bridge visitors center.
My parents have a picture with my Dad and brothers standing next to a sign like this so we decided since Logan loves fishing with Papa and his Uncles we should take a picture by a sign too. Someday I'm sure they will teach him how to fly fish.
We saw a ton of Bison, some Elk, and
a bald Eagle.
It was such a fun trip, we hope to go back again next year.

Fishing
We have had some fun fishing trips this summer. Logan loves "shishies".
Our first trip was in American Fork Canyon, on the river and at Tibble Fork.
Papa showing Logan how to get his pole ready
Learning how to cast
fishing in the river
His first catch was an old rope
sitting on the bank with Papa
Fishing from the rocks
Trying to get the pole in just the right spot to catch the fish
Roasting a hot dog all by himself, he worked up quite the appetite fishing.
working on casting at Tibble Fork
Our line broke and we lost the spinner, so Logan worked on casting without any line.
Uncle Quin was our driver
Our catch. It fought really hard, but we got it in the net.
Logan pointing saying "shishie"
With Papa, eating Sweedish Fish
Quin's catch
He had a lot of fun pulling the fish out of the water
Reeling in the last catch of the day with Uncle Quin
We had a lot of fun on the lake and caught some nice fish in a very short amount of time. We had Sweedish Fish with us and decided it is very good luck to have them and plan to have a bag every time we go out on Papa's boat.
