Zoo Lights 2012

Last night we went to Zoo Lights at Hogle Zoo with Grammy, Papa, Quinton, Trevor and Brynna. It was a really fun night with a lot of great memories made. It snowed a little and it was fun to see what animals were active at night.

There was a seal swimming around in the tank and everyone enjoyed lining up by the window to get a look at it as it swam past.

Our little Family: Ashley, Logan and Ryan

The baby Snow Leopard and its mom were also awake.  The baby really liked following Logan's glow bracelet and pawed at it as Logan moved his hand past the glass, it was really entertaining to watch and I think Logan really liked the Leopard interacting with him.

Logan was having fun hitting branches and having snow fall on him so Quinton came up behind Ryan and Logan and shook the branch really well.  Logan giggled and Ryan as you can see in the picture was a little surprised.  I was so lucky to catch this shot.

Santa was there. Logan had fun asking him what his beard, hat, shirt, and bells were.  Santa was very good and answered all of Logan's questions.

We helped Logan write a letter to Santa letting him know what he wants for Christmas and when we asked Logan what he wants he said a baby.  We also wrote cars on the letter because he loves to play cars.

getting ready for Christmas

Saturday December 1 we got our Christmas decorations out and set up.  Logan was so excited, he was jumping up and down yelling "ya" as we got out the tree. He really enjoyed sitting on Ryan's shoulders to put the star on the top of the tree and wanted to skip all the other ornaments and just put the candy canes on.

Today Santa came to Logan's preschool class. Ryan went to the school to take pictures.  He said Logan did really well until he had to put his candy cane in his backpack and it was time for Ryan to leave then he got a little sad.

Logan's first day of Preschool

Today was Logan's first day of preschool.  I was nervous that he would cry but he didn't.  He climbed right on the bus and the bus aid helped him get buckled in to his seat.

Ready to get on.  He waived bye to us as the bus drove away.
The note his teacher sent home said he asked for mom and dad the first part of the day and then was fine the rest of the day.  The first thing the bus driver said when he opened the door after school was "he sure is glad to see you".  Logan was excited to come in the house and tell Daddy all about his day at school.

3 year pictures

Today I took Logan to Camera Shy for his 3 year picture. They did such an awesome job. Here are just a few of the pictures they took; I have so many to choose from but these are some of my favorite.

Logan's Third Birthday

Monday was Logan's third Birthday, I can't believe that he is already three.  Uncle Quinton came and spent the night Sunday night so he could be with us for Logan's birthday and join us for all the Birthday fun.

Logan fell asleep in the car on our way home and took a 2 hour nap.  When he got up Quinton and Ryan took him outside to ride his bike while I finished putting together his cake.

We had my parents and Ryan's parents come over for dinner and cake and Ice cream and had Logan open the rest of his presents while they were there.

I made the cake and free handed the Happy Birthday Logan

Logan knew exactly what to do when the presents came out.  He started opening them and only stopped to look at them for a second before moving on to the next one.
