Saya yakin puan mengenali beliau. Adakah beliau bekas guru di SEKOLAH MENENGAH TUANKU SYED PUTRA (sekarang SMS Tuanku Syed Putra) Perlis, sekitar tahun akhir 80-an dan awal 90-an?
Jika benar, saya amat berbesar hati andai puan dapat menemukan kami.
Saya kurang pasti, tapi saya rasa betul lah kot orangnya sebab nama macam tu bukannya common sangat pun. Tambahan pula Shamsuri tu memang bertugas di Kementerian Pelajaran sekarang ni.. Maknanya beliau tu bekas guru.
Waalaikumussalam…
Assalamualaikum,
Dear Ma’am,
Just to let you know that Malay Mail is a five-day week paper (mon-fri) and as such couldn’t catch the KT by-election results.
Nonetheless, we do have a Cyberspot page which is the main reason why we are contacting you — Would you (“happily married with 6 huge kids:) consent to being featured in the paper (about your blogging)?
We will send you a set of questions if you say ‘Yes’, pls.
Warmest regards
sheila
Please forgive me if i am wrong, but puan really looks like my favourite add math teacher at teknik ipoh year 1996. I still remember her name is Puan Sabariah and she loves poems.
Alhamdulillah, Betul lah puan ni cikgu add math saya. tak berubahpun masih awet muda. betul saya batch azizah omar. masa tu puan mengajar kami di 4 perdagangan 1 (1986). Cara puan mengajar memberi impak yang besar kepada saya kerana puan berjaya menjadikan kelas add math tu menyeronokkan dan senang difahami.
Terimakasih puan kerana pernah mendidik saya. Jasa puan selalu saya kenang.
It is so wonderful to read and flow into ur blog. I feel so lost and always thinking where should i start and wht should i do as i’m no longer the cheerful and take it easy person like i use to be. Lately about 6 months ago, i was so sick and depressed til i gain terrible weight and so disturbed finding my wn self.
Even till today i couldnt find out why i’m always not peaceful and searcing for something that i dont even exactly know. When i’m so frustrated or empty i will start to do cross stitching till i can forget about food or rest after doing the house chores and taking care my 4 kids.
Today when i saw ur blog i feel like it’s me myself and my story tht u wrote. Adopted child, and i always wanted to be a teacher, to be remembered, to be surrounded, but i feel tht i’m a failure now. I can’t even get my 8-2 yrs old to listen to me, unable to continously do my daily routines, unable to get a good rest and my mind is always restless. I’m in a very big mess where i can’t accept any changes even though i tried so many times.
Thank you ma’am, ur words did gave me a tickle to move on for better life. thank you once again.
Life is too short to be spent getting depressed! Yeah, we are human and at times we do feel down. It’s just that we can’t feel down for too long. Just get up and count our blessings. That’s what I do.
You’ll be surprised at how your students can listen to you, but not your kids. I guess our kids need more love and time. They’ll miss us terribly when we are gone, I’m sure of that. While we are around they tend to take us for granted. I think this is common..
I’m glad my blog helps. It’s a very smart move to call and make your order first, because it will definitely take a long time for them to prepare the food 😉

Sheila,
Thank you for the info. No wonder there was no news on the MMail last Saturday 🙂
As to being featured in the paper, I am not sure what would it be about, so I can’t give a definite answer. I’ll e-mail you soon for clarification.
Have a great week! 😉
