I’ve added photos from Sam’s spread in June’s issue of Cigars & Spirits magazine (working on getting scans for the site) to the gallery. Sooo handsome! Enjoy.
Cast has rounded out on Mr Malcolm’s List, with Crazy Rich Asians and Hustlers star Constance Wu and Outlander actor Sam Heughan joining Freida Pinto, Sope Dirisu and Oliver Jackson-Cohen in the period romantic comedy.
The former Black List script is written by Suzanne Allain and based on her novel of the same name, which is set to be published globally on July 28. Emma Holly Jones is on directing duties; she previously helmed a short film adaptation starring Pinto and Gemma Chan which has garnered more than one million views on Youtube.
Sope Dirisu is returning for the feature as the titular Mr Malcolm, London’s most eligible bachelor. When Julia (Constance Wu) is jilted by him after she failed to meet one of the items on his list of requirements for a bride, she enlists her friend Selina (Pinto) to help her take revenge.
Untitled Entertainment’s Laura Rister and Rebelle Media’s Laura Lewis are producing with Blinder Films’ Katie Holly and Emma Holly Jones. Wu has also been attached as an executive producer, alongside Pinto and Refinery 29.
WestEnd Films is handling international rights and will be holding a presentation to buyers during the upcoming Cannes virtual market next week. The producers are handling the U.S. sale.
“I am so incredibly excited and honoured to have Constance and Sam join this cast. Their talents know no bounds and I cannot wait to show the world our take on a Regency era romantic comedy” said director Emma Holly Jones.

Starz is going on a Scottish road trip with Outlander stars Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish. The Lionsgate-backed broadcaster has picked up eight-part travel docuseries Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip with Sam and Graham, created by the Scottish pair.
The series of half-hour episodes, which is produced by Sony Pictures Television, will see Heughan and McTavish take viewers along on their adventures, discovering the rich and complex heritage of their native country.
They will travel to Glencoe, the site of a great massacre and major clan feud, to Inverness and the Culloden battlefield, the site of an historic turning point, known well to fans of Outlander.
Heughan plays Jamie Fraser on the period sci-fi drama, while McTavish stars as Dougal Mackenzie, the Machiavellian war chief.
Men in Kilts was created and executive produced by Heughan, McTavish and Alex Norouzi and is produced for Starz by Boardwalk Pictures in association with Sony Pictures Television.
Starz SVP Original Programming Karen Bailey and SVP Unscripted Programming Alice Dickens-Koblin are the executives overseeing the show on behalf of the network.
“The genuine curiosity and passion that Sam and Graham have for the landscapes they visit and the stories they uncover while traveling through the heart of Scotland makes Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip with Sam and Graham a truly enjoyable journey of discovery for the audience,” said Christina Davis, President, Original Programming of Starz. “The series gives context and texture to Highland life and history, woven together, much like the tartan for which Scotland is so famous, and we look forward to taking this road trip with these two great friends.”
