Hi to all fellow fans. I didn't see this show as a kid, but came to it later in life. In a world full of deliberately created ugliness, I was overjoyed to find something so beautiful.

I love the canon, really. This isn't my better ending. Just a different ending.

Hello! I figured maybe this comm could use a new post. :)

I remember watching Samurai Jack back when it first aired and I was a fan from the beginning. It was the first fandom I really got involved in. I'm happy to see a community here for it. I think there used to be one on LJ back in the day and I was part of that, too.

Though only four episodes of Season 5 have aired so far, what does everyone think of the new season? Any guesses on what will happen in later episodes?

Maybe this is already obvious, but I think Ashi will be a major player in getting Jack back to the past and/or Aku's defeat. Also, I realized how similar she and Jack are. Both were trained in combat from a young age and instilled with a sense of duty and zeal to eliminate what they perceive as the enemy. I'm curious to see how their relationship develops, and I hope we find out more about the mother of Aku's daughters.

Toonami Squad's posted a sneak peek for S05 over on Twitter. As expected, Jack saves that family of aliens from the horde of robot insects.

Continuation of ‘Samurai Jack’ to be Previewed at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival announced that a preview of the show will premier at a new section of the festivals Work in Progress sessions dedicated to to animated TV series, and will feature Genndy Tartakovsky as a speaker.

For those (like me) who won't be able to attend the Film Festival, we'll have to settle for a storyboard preview Adult Swim posted on their website. It's probably not what's going to be at the Film Festival; I'm guessing that might be a sneak peek of a finished episode.

Update: Toonami Squad has an update about the info presented at Annecy!

New Details on Samurai Jack from Annecy 2016!

It has been 50 years since we last saw Jack, he has new gear, a samurai styled armor, a motorcycle and his katana is missing, which will be a plot point.

Plus we get a look at old!Jack. It's interesting that they're actually showing blood this time, instead of using stand-ins like oil.

Adult Swim plots Robot Chicken: The Walking Dead special, return of Samurai Jack

Adult Swim just rolled out its plans for dominating late-night viewers’ attention, which include the return of Samurai Jack that we first reported on last year. The network will air new half-hour episodes of Genndy Tartakovsky’s animated during the 2016-2017 season, though it hasn’t announced the actual premiere date yet. There’s lots of animation on the slate, which will also extend streaming/business hours so that Adult Swim shows are on all day long.

Hello! Friendly neighborhood mod, here :D I know the community hasn't seen much activity, but I'm hoping that will change once more news about the 2016 series starts trickling in.

In the meantime, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a rewatch (and discussions) of the original series to be hosted on the community?
