Memorial Day!

We had a great Memorial Day celebration. Even though it's still spring, we were up to like 74 degrees. (In Wisconsin! In May!) The water was really cold, (like, 50 degrees!) and Dad, Jake, and I were the only ones brave enough to go all the way under.

After we finished freezing our faces off, we burying ourselves in sand to dry off and warm up.

And when we got home, we started preparing our meal of burgers, potato salad, on corn on the cob. (Which I unfortunately could not eat because of my braces)

So we had a fun day, and that night, all of us kids heard fireworks.

Aren't Grandmas Great

Grandma came over on Monday and has been a big help. She's leaving in a week so we will enjoy her for as long as we can. She was an especially big help to Mom, and spent a lot of time sitting in with Mom, talking to her. We all had a lot of fun with her (as you will see from these pictures)

Also, before she came, she sent us caterpillars, which have now hatched into butterflies. We all enjoyed letting them go outside, and hope they will stick around.

Daddy Graduated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay!!!!!
Daddy finally graduated! We are all so happy to have him back with us and hope that he'll be able to get a job soon. Mommy was not well enough to come, but she was able to watch his graduation through Carroll University's website.

Blogger Update

Hi people! Mom is not exactly feeling great right now so I will be, at least temporarily (I love Spellcheck) be taking over the position of Master Blogger. Oh, almost forgot. I'm Zack. Right now I'm trying to figure why this computer is mad at me and we are not getting along. However, I managed to control my rage long enough to do this entry. So that's basically it, just wanted to give you an update, so I'm done now. :)

When Life Gives You Lemons ...

Make lemonade.

I am out of maple syrup.

Life is not accepting returns.

Nor is it slowing or stopping deliveries.

When the maple syrup well is dry a constant IV drip is necessary.

Inspirational and uplifting messages are welcome.

And wanted.

Specifically those that have helped you.

And the how and why behind why you needed it.

Thank you.

Addie's 8!

It was a whirlwind but we got it all in! Her request: baptized on her birthday, a trip to the zoo, eat at Golden Corral, and a fancy cake from the Walmart bakery. I don't know how she did it but it just so happened that February 7th was on Saturday, the perfect day for a baptism, it was also one of a few free family days at the zoo, and Golden Corral just so happens to be in Waukesha which is not close to us but is close to the zoo.

She was also very accommodating to Malachi's needs and schedule. He wasn't doing well the few days prior and morning of, but by early afternoon he was ready enough that we decided to make a go of it. Typically, as long as he's in a good pattern and doesn't have enterocolitis, we can stretch the time a bit in the afternoon hours, but only very occasionally.

She had to wait much longer than she'd hoped for present opening and cake didn't happen until Sunday, but she had a great birthday and was so sweet about all the twists and turns her celebration took.

You are such a big help and always willing to serve. We love you Addie!
