been quite a journey so far. some good, some bad, the usual. creative juices are back. health will be in higher focus from now on, to maintain it on the same good level as before. gratitude is entering the scene and that feels good. the Rumi poem below is still very very valid.

update of update:
circle is closing. as i get older, i realise that what i used to do back in the 20s was the most real life i could have. the responsibilities that consumed my life the past 10 years have left me quite empty and focusing on the wrong things in life. but now, i am taking steps back towards light-heartedness, joy and creativity. especially creativity. which does not happen in a space of logic or business. i have gone back to nature and started to smell the roses. life is here and now, and it is good.

update:
what is written below is still quite valid. as i get older i have more responsibilities to take care of which consume a lot of my time. i do not mind it though, all of it brings something new to my life. i think it's been challenging to still keep my eyes and mind attached to the real beauty of life instead of being replaced by something superficial. however, i need to start drawing again. nowadays it is only photographs that i take, unfortunately.

well, bio.. i love to see things in the world that not many even notice. especially seeing them in a beautiful way. i draw&photograph&write journal entries of them. i throw in a lot of my favorite poet's writings as well (jalal al-din rumi) along with appropriate lyrics fitting my current mood.

if i added you to my friends list don't feel obliged to add me to yours. i added you because of a very good reason. keep it real!

The Guest-House

This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.

A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.

Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture.

Still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice -
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.

Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

-Rumi, translated by Mr. Coleman Barks.
