I took a moment to stop by the Lunde website today www.lundegaard.com and check to see whether pins were available yet.
It appears that there are a small number of pins available for sale. I am sure that they will go quickly. Unfortunately, it looks like the Wench pins have already sold out.
I will say that Guy Todd is now officially waiting for his Rogues pin. Congratulations, bro. Thanks for being a part of the crew. |

| CTRF - Final Weekend Update - Long Post |

This was the final weekend of the Connecticut Renaissance Faire. I'd like to thank everyone involved for making this year very special for me. Right now, I am both sad that the season is over and happy that I can sleep late next weekend. Still, I am left with the feeling that this has been one of those years that I'll look back on with pride and nostalgia.
I'm still processing everything that happened, so hopefully I'll be able to work this out in my head and make a full post. I know that last time I tried to make a short update, I wound up with an unexpectedly long post. I guess we'll see what happens.

I wish that I could put out a full report right now, but I'm in class, so a quick one will have to suffice...
I'd like to thank everyone who made this weekend simply amazing. I can't cover it all, but I'd like to hit few highlights.
Faire was incredible. You guys have done one hell of a job and I want to thank you for letting me be a part of it.

For those who know and love our Lady Reddy, she is in the hospital again. I am quite sure that it will be a very speedy recovery. In the meantime Lord Rhuff would like to let people know that they have two tickets for Winterfeast tomorrow night that they will not be able to use. If anyone would like them, contact me here by tomorrow at noon or contact Lord Rhuff directly. |

I know that there were a lot pets left behind when people fled the hurricane. Someone on an email list mentioned an organization called Noah's Wish that is involved with rescuing those animals. I know that there are lots of pet owners out there, so I'll post it. I don't understand how someone could just leave their pet behind, but I'm not in their shoes. I've never had any dealings with the organization, but here is the info:

Hurricane Katrina may have been all the way down in the Gulf, but it also hit close to home.
Many of us are familiar with marrus, the artist who does the body and face painting at CTRF and VTRF. Unfortunately, due to the hurricane, she has been displaced from her home in New Orleans. While she is safe, she is in need of assistance and has asked for help.
I would encourage you to take a moment to read her journal. I know that she has set up a paypal account for those able to provide financial assistance. marrusart(at)yahoo(dot)com |

| Man of the House |

A man had just finished reading the book Man of the House while commuting home from work. By the time he reached home, he stormed into the house and walked directly up to his wife, pointing a finger in her face, he said. "From now on I want you to know that I am the man of the house and my word is law! You are to prepare me a gourmet meal tonight, and when I'm finished eating my meal, I expect you to present a scrumptious dessert. Then, after dinner, you are to draw my bath so I can relax. And when I am finished with my bath, guess who's going to dress me and comb my hair?"
"The Funeral Director would be my guess," she replied. |
