Why Bitcoin Matters (Especially for Women)
Most headlines focus on price swings and speculation. Very few
explain why Bitcoin was created, what problem it addresses, and
why women around the world are beginning to reassess it through
a more informed lens.
Bitcoin is not “just an investment.” It is a technological response
to structural issues: inflation, inequality, limited financial
sovereignty, and declining trust in institutions.
For women in particular, this matters. Across almost all countries,
women invest less, retire with less wealth, and often carry greater
financial responsibility for families.
Understanding Bitcoin isn’t about risk-taking. It’s about regaining
clarity, autonomy, and confidence.
Meet Lisa Tscherry
I founded SatoShe after repeatedly meeting intelligent women who
were curious about Bitcoin — but couldn’t find a space that truly
suited them.
My background includes:
– M.Sc. in Blockchain & Digital Currencies (University of Zurich)
– M.Sc. in Psychology (University of Zurich)
– 10+ years in corporate HR & organizational behavior
– Board Member, Bitcoin Association Switzerland (only woman)
I know what it feels like to be the only woman in male-dominated
spaces. And I know how valuable it is to learn without pressure,
hype, or judgment.
