The stories that define our work

"I'm stubborn about what matters"

I think all the professional and fun experiences I’ve had at scandiweb have made me much more fearless. Whether it’s taking on a complex project or spending a week in the desert without cell service (Burning Man), I’ve learned to enjoy pushing boundaries and seeing what comes out of it.

What might surprise you about me is that I’m actually extremely stubborn when it comes to things I care about. And I care about the work we do a lot, so it pushes me to go extra mile, and push the team to create high-converting, award-winning designs.

“I lead with initiative and kindness.”

At scandiweb, I feel that we are greatly encouraged to think creatively and approach challenges from new angles. During my time here I’ve learned that taking initiative and owning the process goes a long way, and thinking strategically and executing with kindness is a winning combination.

My not-so-secret weapon at work is my resilience and strategic vision – the ability to zoom in and zoom out between daily tasks and the long-term strategic goals. I’m also very keen to understand what drives human behavior – a skill that serves me every day.

“I let curiosity set my direction.”

During my time at scandiweb, I’ve become more agile, flexible and dynamic in my work and how I approach life in general.

What drives me forward in my work is my curiosity. I love exploring new places and cultures when traveling. It gives me the chance to observe the differences between countries and rethink my work in a way that can impact people in those regions. I often get inspired by new ideas or experiments I might never have thought of otherwise. I truly believe this helps me embrace the unknown and stay open to new ways of thinking.

“I let the right questions bring the right people.”

The biggest change I’ve noticed in myself during my time at scandiweb is how I approach problem-solving. I’ve learned that every situation has a solution, and more often than not, if you can ask the right questions, the right people and answers tend to show up.

Something that helps me in my work is embracing change as an inevitable, natural part of life. Events, big and small, constantly shift our priorities, perceptions, and goals. I think it is valuable to have a desired goal in all situations, but it is also critical to understand that being present and adapting to reality is also vital. This philosophy allows me to keep doing what I do. That, and of course, learning how to create macros for Google Sheets with GPT. I think both are equally important.

“I welcome discomfort; it means I’m growing.”

Discomfort in the challenge is where growth happens. If you are comfortable, you’re stuck! At first it’s unpleasant, because no one loves scratching their brain and stretching skills. With time at scandiweb I learned to welcome it. That feeling tells me I’m in a significant growth step I will later appreciate and feel proud of.

I think a sense of positivity is something that has helped me a lot. I take things lightly, yet keep a high sense of responsibility. This lets me embrace change, accept challenges, and aim for goals I’m proud of. And unchangingly, same motto applies: stop procrastinating! The happy future starts now. Choosing and acting for it is the most exciting and empowering feeling.

Shared experiences make us stronger

Team spirit at scandiweb grows from time spent together beyond daily tasks, like sunset SUP sessions, annual plogging cleanups, casual barbecue nights, and practical workshops.

ScandiFest is our biggest tradition, an annual three-day festival bringing everyone together from different countries for connection and shared experiences. Each year’s theme is a surprise, with creative activities, music, and plenty of laughs that bring us closer.
