SDC- Learn is a training provider approved by the SQA. We deliver Modern Apprenticeships specialising in Hospitality, Sports & Leisure, Management and Business & Administration.

Our Story

In 2015, Sarah Dalrymple achieved approval as an SQA Approved Training Centre after years of working with other Training Providers. That December, she dedicated many late nights, working alongside Michael to navigate the tender process, which would pave the way for offering funded places for Modern Apprentices.

In February 2016, SDConsultancy (now SDC- Learn) secured a contract through SDS to deliver Hospitality Modern Apprenticeships. Over the ensuing years, the portfolio of qualifications expanded in response to growing demand from both learners and employers. The team gradually expanded, with Michael leaving his Engineering role in Edinburgh in 2018 to join Sarah as the Operations Director for SDC-Learn

With time, the SDC- Learns portfolio broadened to include Management, Digital Marketing, Business Admin, Sports and Leisure, Customer Service, Operational Services, and in 2019, the addition of Foundation Apprenticeship qualifications.

As of 2024, the team boasts 10 dedicated staff members who oversee several Apprenticeship schemes. Each team member contributes invaluable expertise and talent, continually enhancing the offerings of SDC-Learn. Throughout the years, the company has garnered several awards, including two wins for Apprentice of the Year, as well as two Highly Commended recognitions for Small Business of the Year and Small Business with Highest Growth. Striving to be the Training Provider of Choice in Scotland, SDC- Learn eagerly anticipates continuing to support employers and learners on their educational journeys.
