Disneyland!!!!

A couple of weeks ago we took our long anticipated trip to Disneyland. We drove to Las Vegas the first day. I had been dreading the ride but it actually went quite smooth. Levi stayed awake the whole time and was happy. We got to Vegas in the evening. We stayed at the Monte Carlo which is right across the street from the M&M World. So we walked over to check it out. It was so funny to see the looks we go dragging four little kids through the crowded streets. The kids liked the big tubes of M& Ms separated into individual colors. They got to make their own mixtures. Next we decided to walk up the street to the Balajio and watch the fountain show. That was a little awkward to say the least with all the naughty cards covering the ground. We kept telling the boys to keep their eyes up. They were hard to miss. Needless to say we had a teaching moment. We got back to the room and crashed.

The next day we drove to California. We stayed in a hotel near Newport Beach. We took the kids to see the beach for their first time ever. The weather was a little cool but as you can see they jumped right in. It was so fun. We hoped to make it back before the end of our trip but never found the time.

The next day we went to Disneyland. Woohoo! We had such a good time. So much to see and do it took us awhile to get a system down with four kids. The weather was great and the crowds were not too bad. All the kids did great. Jacob loved the California Screamer roller coaster and Tower of Terror. Colton liked Splash Mountain. Clara says she liked Tower of Terror the best, but I think she just says that to show everyone how brave she is. She was so brave she went on anything she was tall enough for and would get off laughing and say "that was soo fun". I think her favorite part of Disneyland was getting her face painted. She wanted to get it done so bad. We finally gave in the last day. Levi liked Pirates of the Caribbean and the 3-D Woodie shooting game. He did so good the whole trip. He was so excited to see all the characters until they got too close. Clara got to see Snow White, her current favorite princess and of course Minnie Mouse. Colton's favorite character is Goofy and we ran into him a few times. But Jacob never got to see his favorite--Donald Duck.

Image On the second day the kids all woke up to find Disney characters in their beds

Image On the first day after about two hours in the park Clara stoped dead in her tracks and refused to walk anymore. So we had to buy her a princess carriage. As you can see we wore the two little ones out.

ImageWe stayed at Embassy Suites. It was so nice. They had a big atrium with fish, turtles and a big lion on top of a big rock that woke up and roared every hour or so. They also had a nice hot breakfast each morning and free drinks and snacks and pizza at night. It was so nice to not to have to go out for food with tiered kids

Image Our last picture before we left the park on our last night. It was such a great vacation. I don't think it could have gone any better. We made lots of wonderful memories at the happiest place on earth.
